These heaters work faithfully day in and day out. I’ve been running one in another tank for about two years now without a single issue, which is exactly why I bought this one for a new setup in a different room. Temperature has stayed stable and accurate, and the heater does its job quietly in the background, no swings, no surprises. My fish stay comfortable, active, and stress-free, which is really the whole point. Build quality feels solid, setup is straightforward, and once it’s dialed in, it just works. I don’t worry about it, and that’s the highest compliment I can give aquarium equipment. Reliable, consistent, and dependable enough that I came back for another one.

I've had this in a 150gal tank where it works great. It's been in use since Nov 2022, over 3 years now and still going. I would call that a win for my money. The temp stays constant. The only thing for me is that I don't have a great place for the controller but that is not a big deal as I have put it on a stand next to my 150gal.

I have had eheim and fluval heaters and let me tell you, they do not hold a candle to this one especially considering the price. The eheim was always so annoying as the temperature you set would never match the tank temp even after countless attempts at calibration. Also, the suction cups used on them are very very weak and begin to be less effective over time. In addition to this due to the design everytime you want to adjust the temp you must stick your hands in the tank and manually move the dial (and given the fact that I could never get the dial temp to match the actual tank temp it would produce, this was such a hassle)! I only wish I would have discovered these amazing heaters sooner. Stick it in, and then you have an external control unit that you set the temperature with with the touch of a button. Truly a beautiful thing. I purchased 2 of the 300W units for my new 75 gallon build (I know I could have purchased a higher wattage but I prefer 2 individual units in the event one fails there is still a backup and if it fails in the sense that one misreads temp and overheats, it is not powerful enough to overheat the tank). I have both of them mounted behind my 3d background next to each intake of my canister filters in opposite corners and it is performing FLAWLESSLY thus far. Much like every other Hygger aquarium product, this is of the upmost quality and I am such a huge fan.

Didn't even last a year. Can't find any support on it even though it says 2 year warranty on the box. While it was working it worked great, until last night it just kept beeping and wouldn't heat. It was kept clean, and have had no power surges atall. I will change review stars and comments if someone reaches out to me for a replacement...

The heater is in my 150 gallon stock tank for my turtle. I love that it regulates the temp and as a safety shut off. Easy to set up and use and was a good price point. Been using it for a few months now and have had no issues.

Heater worked very well in my 55 gallon tank for 9 months. Then it started beeping and stopped heating--but the current temperature still showed correctly. Luckily, I noticed the beeping and had a backup heater handy. I tried three troubleshooting to let it cool and rinse it out, but it still didn't work. Hygger customer support was great. They sent me a new heater and it has been working well for a month now. I have several Hygger lights, pumps and heaters that have not had any other issues. If you're on the fence, definitely choose Hygger. Your fish and wallet will thank you. Their user manuals are generally not very clear, but AI can give you better instructions.

I've been running this one as a replacement to my old one of the same brand that lasted several years. Easy to install and set up. Has kept my 75 gallon tank +/- 1 deg once it caught up the first time.

The heater works great. The only problem is, that the suction cups don't hold very good. The heater is heavy so it contantly slides down. We don't hang ours like some people, we have a bigger tank and put it sideways. Then it slips down onto the rocks.I wrote the company and they want me to pay $10 shipping for 4 suction cups. They don't sell the suction cups online in amazon or any other store. I guess they don't realize that the rubber softens overtime and need to be replaced.

Excellent produit. Fonctionne parfaitement. Chauffe rapidement. Je l’utilise dans un aquarium 90 gallons et il maintient parfaitement la température. Affichage facile à lire. Facile à utiliser et à ajuster. Identique à la description et aux photos. Vraiment très satisfait!

Lo compre para un acuario marino mediano de 280 litros....chulada de calentador, hace correctamente su función al calentar el agua y medir la temperatura, lo único medio malo es que solo puedo configurar la temperatura en grados Fahrenheit y no tiene opción para grados Celsius que aquí en MX es lo que tenemos, pero como tengo un termómetro alterno para medir la temperatura y este si trae ambos pues me facilita la conversión y confirmar la correcta temperatura, su tamaño es un poco grande validen el espacio a donde ponerlo y su color anaranjado hace que resalte, pero si tienen opción de colocarlo en un filtro externo fuera de la pecera seria ideal. Lo recomiendo, a mi me gusto y funciono bastante bien....calienta el agua muy rápido.

I purchased the Hygger Aquarium Heater (500W model) with high expectations, but it completely failed after just 5 months of normal use. This is supposed to be a premium product, yet the quality is extremely poor. Even worse, I contacted the manufacturer multiple times via email, and received no reply at all. The heater is now useless, and my trust in this brand is gone. I strongly do NOT recommend buying this product. Save your money and avoid the frustration – there are more reliable brands out there that actually stand behind their products.

Heater overheated overnight and killed all discus that I had in a 120 Gallon tank. The heather was just over a month old therefore could not return to Amazon. Hygger had agreed to refund me however since the agreement they are ignoring me. This unit was on a 12 month warranty (less than a month in thank). I have two more of there heaters that I will return to Amazon. Please read other comments posted on Amazon regarding these units before you buy.
