Excellent quality, compact size.
I already had passenger rear-view mirror when accompanying a learner driver ( Summit RV-30 Large Flat Glass Mirror with Suction Pad ), but I also wanted one to see their face to see where they were looking (to check if they are checking their mirrors!). I didn’t need a particularly large mirror, nor a wide-angled mirror, and this fitted the bill perfectly, in fact I wanted something that would stick, give me a clear stable reflection and be compact. The mirror came with an alcohol wipe to clean the glass, and a good quality silicone suction cup, with disposable protective cover. I found the ball joint stiff enough to hold position, but with sufficient freedom for adjustment. The mirror itself is crystal clear and flat. The suction cup mechanism is strong and works well. This could be used to check your children in the back, but something like ONEVER Baby Car Mirror Wide View Angle Adjustable Backseat Monitor for Child Front View Mirror Safety Wide View would be better. Can't fault it
Very nearly didn't buy this item due to the negative reviews on here. However, I'm very glad I did as it is perfect for my intended purpose of sitting with a learner driver. Easy to attach to the windscreen (make sure you avoid any areas that aren't plain glass) and has stayed put now for over a month. It is smaller than a standard rear view mirror but perfectly adequate for a full view through the rear window and the quality of the reflective material is fine for a clear image.

Large glass mirror
The mirror itself is good if I could have used it. Unfortunately I cannot because my glass slopes down and as a result I cannot see by rear mirror. I will have to go Halfords now to see if there is one I can get.. I could have used this mirror if it had a longer branch from the glass, allowing me to remain high up and better angle it. So if you do have a sloping window I would not recommend it.

Too limited an angle to adjust and a bit too small for observation
With any significant windscreen slope towards the front of the car, you cannot angle this back far enough to see behind you. The actual adhesion with suction is excellent, although have a care with turning the lever to set maximum suction. The lever turns and clicks in to place at full suction though this requires quite a bit of force to get it there - with a complete seal this mirror is not coming off the windscreen barring small children swinging off it. If anyone is finding it drops off on its own, check that the lever is fully turned to the firm click and the windscreen is clean (and there are not nicks on the suction cup).

Essential for learning in your own car.
I wanted to learn to drive in my own car and my instructor insisted one of these was essential. The good; -Meets the DVLA regulations for testing in your own car. -Stayed in place from the first time I attached it, and I never saw any need to remove it. -Although it was not angled for me to use, my instructor told me it was just right. -Small enough not to obscure my vision in any way. The bad; -Nothing For anyone wanting to take lessons and/or a test in their own car I completely recommend this. (PS- I passed first time, so it must have helped.)

Used this for my driving test, worked well
This mirror worked well and the examiner was able to place it as he needed, as I took the driving test in my own car. My mother also used it when I was still a learner and she liked that she had a good rear view of the traffic. As I've passed, this mirror now sits in a little box containing my L-plates and theory test revision guide that will be given to my brother when he turns 17.

Kept falling off
We cleaned the windscreen thoroughly as instructed, and fixed on the mirror. It worked for about an hour before falling off. We then tried a few times to stick it on again, but it kept falling off. There was a slight fault on the rubber suction pad. We then bought another sized mirror from a shop(unfortunately they only had the Summit brand) and this had the same fault so again kept falling off. I suggest buying a different brand.
