CityComfort Hot Water Bottle with Soft Fleece Cover - Natural Rubber 2 Litre - British Design - UK Safe Tested

I ordered this, and received it with the red tartan cover. The cover isn't plush but that is fine for me. As a child, my parents used to wrap hot water bottles with two brushed cotton pillowcases, so I will be doing that. The hot water bottle has the distinctive rubber smell that instantly transports me to the mid 1980's, and it is such a comfort! I know others might not like the smell though. The manufacture indicator says that it was made in June 2023, which is great. (It is recommended that hot water bottles should be replaced 2 years after manufacture for safety reasons, as the rubber may perish.) The date on the indicator is the manufactured date- not the expiry date. This should be indicated on the item description to avoid confusion. In summary, a good buy, does what a hot water bottle is supposed to do. I'd buy again.

Like - fluffy cover is very comforting and probably keeps it warmer for long. Great for regional pain mainly muscular pain e.g. sore shoulder, knee, stomach etc. Helps you to relax which influences pain and increases blood supply to the area which can also help to reduce pain.. (Does not replace medical assistance though). Dislike - ordered 2 at the same time for my sister and myself - whoever or whatever chose the items chose the same covering! Had them or very similar before - I replace after 3 years rather than wait for them to perish but they remain very good value for money.

Bought as a last minute addition to a camping trip due to unexpected cold weather. I picked it primarily because it was good value and could be delivered the next day. It's a good size but the fleece lining is very thin; not much thicker than a bed sheet I'd say. It does what its meant to though so I guess you get what you pay for! I was going to order 2 but having tested it out and due to the thinness of the fleece, I wouldn't be comfortable letting my 5 year old sleep with it so I will pick him up a better quality hot water bottle with a thicker cover.

Does job

The bottles are as shown and work perfectly well. Very personal comment, It would be nice to choose the colour. I love bright colours & received a grey one. Nonetheless , would purchase again.
