An overall excellent gaming mouse! Reminiscent and the closest predecessor to the elegant G400
The G403 is excellent and deserves 5 stars. Firstly, I'll discuss functionality. I play CSGO, and I play at 400dpi with 3.0 sensitivity (arguably the upper limit of having accurate dexterity). I have transitioned to this mouse from using the Final Mouse 2016, and I have noticed a qualitative improvement -- most likely due to better ergonomic design rather than the sensor. The G403 comes with a 10g weight that can be removed. As I was transitioning from the Final Mouse, an extremely lightweight mouse, I removed the weight. I adapted to the G403 almost instantly. Ergonomic shape is perfect for me, and is an improvement from the Final Mouse. I have found one functional limitation of the G403, which is the very shallow thumb area. Meaning, that while the mouse has almost perfect functionality in lifts (does not track during mouse lifts), you will find that it tilts clockwise in your hand causing a less controlled landing. However, keep in mind that I am transitioning from the extremely lightweight Final Mouse which has one of the deepest thumb indents. Additionally, the mouse-wheel is loose and can over-scroll, and the sensitivity button is too sensitive for a button that is rarely going to be pressed. I personally do not find these problematic, but I understand they can be problems for other users -- no mouse is perfect. As mentioned in the title, the design is a leap in the right direction (back to the G400). Its colour is very deep black and has no plastic reflection; it's almost invisible upon a black mouse pad if not for the two subtle RGB lights. I give it 4/5 for design and hope they continue to adopt more subtle and elegant design in the future. I personally do not want a mouse that looks like a race car or a spaceship, i.e. G402. The 403 is well designed, solid in construction, with a resilient braided cable. It also, of course, has full RBG colour spectrum, which I have never used or care about. What really sets this mouse apart from its competitors, including the rest of the Logitech range, is that it is cheaper. I paid £37.99 for it. To give context, the Final Mouse was designed for Esport in mind and was retailed at £60; the G403 is objectively as good, and in my opinion, the G403 is an upgrade for me. The G403 is basically a statement by Logitech that they are a brand leader. For around £100 they sell a wireless optical mouse (G900), which is a massive breakthrough in wireless technology -- it has no latency or interference. The G403 is them saying that they can do what their competitors do for around half the price.

Very accurate comfortable mouse
I have many gaming mice and love trying new ones. Normally I prefer ambi mice even though I use them right handed. I game at low dpi (normally 400dpi) and find ambi mice easier to lift and reposition. My favourite ambi mice are the Zowie FK2 & ZA13, Logitech G Pro and Finalmouse Scream 1/Ultrlight. Recently I've tried a few ergonomic mice. I quite like the Deathadder Elite (I used the old Deathadder 3.5G for years) and am very impressed with the new Cougar Revenger S. I normally find ergonomic mice harder to lift due to the sloped right side. The Logitech G403 is an ergonomic mouse but only just - the right side is fairly flat in fact. This makes it easy to lift. In addition the sides have a tacky rubbery coating which grips really well. It is not actual rubber inserts as sometimes I find those more slippery than plain plastic. The G403 feels very comfortable in my claw grip. I have average hands about 19cm x 9cm and the size is fine for me. It's smaller than a Deathadder but still bigger than many mice. In long sessions I forget it's there which is normally a good sign. The sensor is a variant of the Pixart 3360 which is the market leader and it tracks beautifully. The Logitech software suite is about the best there is in my opinion and allows you to program the buttons for different games which it recognises when the executable is launched. It has full RGB lighting if you like that sort of thing and it can be set to breathe, cycle etc. The G403 can be tuned for different surfaces. I'm using it on a Zowie GTF-X which is a very fast cloth pad and the LOD is lower than 1 CD which is great for low DPI players like me. If you aren't a fan software you can set the G403 up once then uninstall the software and the onboard memory will remember all the settings. The G403 has a braided cable which I personally don't normally like. They can be very stiff and I prefer Zowie's approach of using soft rubber cables. However this is one of the better braided cables I've come across. I'm about to swap it for a supersoft paracord cable from Christian Schneider in Germany (Ceesa) who makes the best mouse cables out there but I am currently playing fine with this cable in a Cougar mouse bungee. The feet glide nicely on my pad but are about to be replaced when I do the cable mod for glides from Core.pad in Germany which will probably be even better from experience. The mouse is around 90g which is a little heavy compared to many of my favourites (the Finalmouse Ultralight is a bigger mouse but weighs only 71g!). However in play it seems fairly well balanced and doesn't feel heavy. For those who like heavier mice there is an optional 10g weight that can be inserted into a chamber in the bottom. The chamber cover is held on by magnets I discovered after trying to unscrew it for half an hour! As I like light mice I suppose I could remove this cover entirely and save a couple of grams but the mouse feels well balanced as it is so I don't see the need. The buttons are top quality Omrons and the left and right main buttons use Logitech's "spring tensioning system". I don't really know what that is but they feel as good as any mouse buttons I've used. Overall I'm really enjoying playing games with the G403 and it's fast becoming one of my favourites. In fact I've just ordered another for my second rig which is high praise indeed. Hope this helps.

G403 vs G402 vs G502 - Having the best sensor does not necessarily mean the best mouse
Great for FPS if you have small or medium size hands. Personally though I prefer the G402, it fits my larger hands better, it slides very well and I get more accuracy, even though the G403 sensor is supposedly better. It may well be, but it not a deal breaker as sensor and fusion engine in the G402 are more than good enough for FPS. If you shop around you may be lucky to grab it for £31, in which case it's a no brainer. It also has better side buttons, a sniper button and a couple more buttons too. Overall I prefer the G402, but the G403 is a good FPS mouse. It's lighter, very light, responsive and accurate, but as I mentioned better for smaller hands than mine. I use a fingertip grip and I found it hurt my little finger, as too narrow at the rear when holding. Against the G502, it's closer, the G502 is a better made and quality mouse, best button clicks, however, it does not slide quite as well as either the G402 or G403 and for FPS games it is a heavy, where for me G402 is perfect and the G403 a little light, but at least you can add 10 grams to the G403. The G502 has the best scroll wheel and plenty of buttons. It's a mouse to use for most things, but the G402 is also quite flexible and better for FPS. The G403 and G502 are closer when it comes to FPS. I prefer the G502 as for me comfort outweighs the plusses of the G403. All three are not bad mice, in fact they are all good. Don't be swayed by the sensor, if large hands and finger tip grip go get a G402, if small hands (good palm grip shape I imagine), perhaps the G403 and if medium hands then it going to be closer still, but if you don't do competitive FPS gaming, then the G502 would be my choice. I'd give the G402 5 stars for FPS gaming and being a bargain, the G403 gets 4 stars but that is in my hands and the G502 would also get that, but perhaps is the best all round mouse if gaming is more casual and if you prefer single player games. In the right hands, each mouse will perform, they all excel in their own ways and are all good products each having different shortcomings, which will be down to individuals grip, size of hands and needs.

G403 my personal favourite mouse and is lighter slightly cheaper more minimalistic alternative to the deathadder elite.
Totally recommend it for fps players mostly really comfortable light weight in the hand, has similar shape to my friends deathadder chroma but more smoother and lighter feel like incredibly light. This mouse compared to my g502 and g302 is lighter the g502 ,which is a heavy mouse so its obviously heavier but it has great shape good for moba games with the hyper wheel which is so smooth for scrolling. The g302 is tiny with a unique shape and it is great budget mouse for fps/moba with really clicky buttons which i personally like if you like the shape but want the new 3366 sensor you can buy the g303. The g302/g303 mouse is tiny compared to my g403 ,but the g403 is still lighter the build the quality is amazing the side buttons do not bother my like my awkward rival 300. Also the mouse is very minimal throughout for those who like minimalist look. The sensor feels more centered than the death adder chrome which felt more like the cursor moved more to the right overall my favorite mouse the scroll wheel is good but needs more force to press down in my opinion than other mice also you might feel it awkward on how your palm rests if you've been using flatter mice at the back but your hand adjusts very quick in about a hour or so. Also the 10g optional weight is very awkward i think most people wont use it. Personally doesn't help might help some but everything is perfrence so choose carefully :)

... cause I heard that the product had many defects like the loose scrollwheel
I was pretty skeptical of buying this mouse at 1st cause I heard that the product had many defects like the loose scrollwheel, mushy buttons and the side buttons produced a high pitched noise when rubbed, but that was only when it just released. They started making new batches a little before 2017 and they have fixed every problem, I'm talking about the wired version right now, I'm unsure if they created new batches for the wireless cause some other person claimed how he got 4 new replacements and all of them had the exact same issue, mind you he used the wireless version. I'm gonna tell you the bad batches and if you have one of those then suspect that you'll have a defect, if not then lucky you. Bad batches for example 1639, 16 means the year 2016 and 39 means the week. If you have the 16 version then you have a high chance of getting a defective version but just right before 2017 they started making the newer batch , if you have gotten 17 then you'll have one of the newest batches which was made in 2017, mine is 1706. You can look for your batch number on your box, it's the S/N and inside your mouse, it's inside the hatch area where you put the weight. My mouse came from Germany and I do not live in the UK. Mouse has a nice weight, I added the 10g weight into it, the hatch below uses magnets, good software, even better than Roccat's software, best sensor on the market and perfect for my size of hands, my hand size is length:18cm width:11 cm.

Seems like a good reliable mouse, good materials, understated looks.
Bought and received the next day with options for same day delivery. This is more like a day 3 review so will update if something goes wrong. Pros (compared to RAT MMO mouse, Razer Orochi 2012, RAT 1) + Improved ergonomics + Thick braided cable + Simple understated design + Good sensor and weight ~100 g + Feels premium and use of good materials + Not a dirt accumulator like RAT mouses tend to be Cons - I prefer the scroll wheel on my RAT MMO - Only 2 buttons + DPI adjuster which isn't bad but limits your customisation options Pending a. Have to see how materials stand the test of time. RAT MMO lasted 3 - 4 years with not much material degradation except rust on screws while razer orochi's mouse rubberised cover completely degraded and feels like crap. TLDR; So far, good mouse, good response, understated looks and well reviewed by quite a few youtubers so FWIW, it is a safe bet if you are going to compare this to the G402. I just don't understand the need for RGB on every mouse/keyboard/ram/PC these days.

DR A great mouse offering a near perfect sensor and vibrant colouring
TL:DR A great mouse offering a near perfect sensor and vibrant colouring. Only issue being easily worn sidegrip. The Logitech G403 offers a great optical sensor, one of the best, for a great price. Having used this mouse for roughly a year I can safely say that I love this mouse and struggled to find faults with it. With the mouse comes an extra weight so if you feel like the mouse is a little too light, which it was for me personally, you have the option to add that extra weight. It isn't much weight however it is enough to notice a difference and I personally love how heavy it is with the weight in the mouse. The sensor is amazing cannot fault the sensor whatsoever. I am fairly certain it is impossible to spin out as I have not managed to both from normal use in games and from intentionally trying to spin it out. The lighting is vibrant and the range of colours is noticeable unlike other nice I have personally used. The software, whilst not needed, is relatively simple and easy to use offering a little customisability to the lighting. Even if it is just two different lighting settings one that cycles through and one is a static colour of your choosing. My only fault with this mouse is the left grip as mine has worn quite far down out of what I would consider standard use. The issue may just be from my personal experience but I thought it is a pretty important thing to mention.

An ergonomic, accurate, low latency mouse
Bought for my son specifically for gaming as "serious gamers don't use laptop trackpads or wireless generic mice". This mouse is ergonomically designed and is very comfortable to use even after extended gaming sessions. The choice of materials used give the mouse a quality feel. This is typical of Logitech and I have never had any issues with the quality or longevity of any of their products. The buttons all have a consistent, positive action. This mouse is also very accurate in use with very fine control. The sensitivity and response are adjustable to your preference. It comes with a decent length of USB cable and absolutly no lag. The latency is outstanding and once you have tried this mouse you can never go back to a wooly feeling, laggy, wireless mouse. Initially, pre-purchase, I thought it was expensive for a USB mouse. After using this mouse I am more than happy with the price. If you want an accurate, responsive, lag free, USB mouse for gaming or photo editing or any other use you can't go wrong with this one.

Bestes Haustier aller Zeiten, Günstig und gehorcht meiner Hand!.
Kurze Zusammenfassung : Kaufempfehlung!: Denkt nicht drüber nach, sondern KAUFT! Wer dennoch meine Rezension lesen möchte, bitteschön: Logitech liefert Jahre lang gute Qualität in allen Bereichen, unteranderem z.b Mx518, Logitech G series, G35 z.b um nur einige zu nenne. Ja, wie bin ich zu Logitech gekommen? Deutsche Firma ganz einfach.

Overall good
I think this is equal to the G502 Hero wired even tho it's more expensive but i like the shape a bit more then the G502 hero. but i think the weight the G502 hero you could add onto it was better then the G403
