Best matcha!
This is some of the best matcha (especially for the price!) It’s so smooth, pure, and consistent. I have energy without any type of crash. It’s truly the best thing to have first thing in the morning. I am a mom to a very active toddler, while also working full time from home. This gives me energy and I also feel good knowing there’s great benefits to drinking it! I personally mix it in with warm water, then pour warm oatmilk on top. Add honey or maple syrup, delicious!

Worth it
I normally get a matcha kick every 1-3 years and buy whatever is on sale and pop it in the blender to begrudgingly quaff down my ill-thought putrid green mess of ingredients until I run out of powder a few days later. This time I opted for a higher grade brand after some googling and value comparisons. I’m glad I did. I got the 100 g bag of this stuff and have been having it with condensed milk, a pinch of sea salt, honey, and a dash of evaporated milk alongside sesame oil dissolved in a cup of cold water. Whatever concoction it is I’ve been enjoying it and having 3-4 times a day. It’s easy to blend, the taste is balanced, and I feel more lucid in thought without any jitters. I questioned the 37 dollar price tag. But after giving it some thought, an iced matcha drink is normally 5-8 dollars on average with no fancy substitutes or additives and whatever I’ve been making tastes better and doing the math yields probably 30 drinks whereas 37 dollars would yield 5-8 less gas and travel time… anyone on the fence I would recommend. Great quality. Great value. Just make sure to buy yourself a little bamboo frother if you’re a traditionalist or an electric handheld one if more modern… otherwise… I don’t think you can go wrong. Really happy with purchased and about to buy another bag as we speak.

Makes the perfect at home matcha latte.
My go to brand for years now. Makes a perfect matcha at home. Great earthy green taste, great color. All the things you’d want in matcha.

Great quality matcha, but not the cheapest
This is definitely some of the best-tasting matcha I’ve tried at home. Super smooth, not bitter, and it actually froths up nicely with a little whisking. You can tell it’s high quality just by the vibrant green color — not dull or brownish like some of the lower-grade stuff out there. I’ve been using it for morning lattes and it gives me that calm, focused energy without the jittery coffee crash. Big fan of that. Only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is the price. I get that ceremonial grade matcha is going to cost more, but this one’s a bit on the higher end for the size. That said, if you care about quality and flavor, it’s worth treating yourself.

It got pricy!
This matcha is good but not $75 a bag good. Went through 4 bags this year (at around $50/ bag) but when my subscription came time to send it had skyrocketed in price and then you lost me as a customer. I get supply and demand but there are other brands out there that have more reasonable pricing and have switched to them.

Finally, at home matcha lattes.
There have a been a few things recently that I just can't bring myself to spend money on, turmeric shots and matcha lattes, they are so pricey and easily made at home for a fraction of the cost. After much research on matcha powder, I decided to purchase Golde Pure and so happy I did. Few pointers, when you receive the canister the powder is in a bag placed inside the canister, before opening the bag make sure you shake it a bit to settle the power to the bottom, or you will have matcha powder wasted for no reason. The powder is VERY fine, if it spills there’s really no saving it. I use 1 teaspoon of powder in warm water, using my automatic hand frother, sold on Amazon, I mix it in the cup adding a tiny bit of coconut sugar to it. Once it's nicely mixed and has froth, I pour it over ice and top with almond milk. I use my milk frother again for a final mix. It's perfectly frothy and delicious!

Disappointing Substitute…
I used to use Ippodo Tea’s matcha powder, which was my absolute favorite; it was smooth, vibrant green, subtly sweet, and everything you'd expect from a high-quality Japanese matcha. Unfortunately, due to what I assume are matcha shortages in Japan, it's been out of stock for a while. In the meantime, I decided to try GOLDE Pure Matcha after seeing so many positive reviews. Sadly, this matcha just didn’t live up to the hype for me. Maybe I received a bad batch, but the powder I got was very dull and muted in color, bitter, and it didn’t froth or mix well at all. And the taste? Yikes. The overall experience reminded me more of the low-quality matcha used at places like Starbucks, not what I was expecting from a product marketed as “ceremonial.” I jumped the gun and bought the full bag, so now I’m stuck trying to finish it just to feel like I got my money’s worth. But honestly, it wasn’t worth it. If you’re used to traditional, high-grade Japanese matcha, this will likely disappoint you as much as it disappointed me :(
