Easy to Use, Amazing Video—Ideal for Beginners! 💫
I use this camera for mini family vlogs of our kids, vacations and special occasions. This vlog camera is an excellent choice for Moms who want great quality without a complicated setup. The video quality is crisp and vibrant, and the wide-angle lens is perfect for handheld vlogging. Autofocus is fast and reliable, keeping faces sharp even while moving. I also love the clear built-in microphone and the flip-out screen, which makes framing shots super easy. It’s lightweight, travel-friendly. I highly recommend this camera & I hope this review is helpful 👍🏻

Great & Easy to Use
I don't know how to use a DSLR and don't want it. I just needed a quality 4K camera for a media purpose. The Sony ZV-1F is more robust than a regular noobie camera, but not so intimidating (and expensive) as a quality DSLR. It works well, video quality for 1080P HD or 4K is great. Menu is easy to navigate with not a huge learning curve. Sound quality is good, but it is a basic microphone, so best not to expect studio quality.

In my go to rotation now!
I have many camera but I always turn to this for my vlogs! It’s entry level and simpler ro use than my Fuji when I am on the go. It takes great quality video and photos. It’s my go to with my dji and this feels more durable and still lightweight. Focus is decent and pretty quick. The sound is eh but I always use a mic. It can still stand on its own in quiet place.

VERY Amazing Camera...But...
This is an amazing camera. The picture quality is just so crisp and clean. The built in stabilizer is top notch so the camera won't be shaking too much when vlogging or filming. The built in mic is also very good however for me I have an EXCELLENT external mic brand: Hollyland. I recommend everyone get one of those mic sets, pretty expensive but worth it, they are so cool the way they work and charge, and they are magnetic meaning they just magnetically clips onto your collar or the necklace they send with it just be careful to drop mics and lose them, because they are wireless and magnetic, you might be swatting at a fly and hit the mic on accident and it will fall off without you noticing so be mindful of that as well. This camera was made for vlogging. It is compact and light-weight. Very easy to use options and menu. It took me less than 30 minutes to figure out where and what each menu option is(however I do have lots of experience with previous cameras so that made it easier). The picture quality is the highlight. The colors are nice and vibrant. The only couple reasons I gave it 4 stars are actually very fixable and avoidable issues. First issue is battery life records to maybe only 45 minutes, but if you buy extra batteries with their charging ports(you can find a lot of cheap battery options here on Amazon that come with a pack of 3 or even 4 batteries with their charging ports so you can charge all of them at once.) All you have to do is when you're low battery you can just end the clip, replace battery, start a new clip and continue. The second issue is DO NOT DROP THIS CAMERA, EVEN IN THE SLIGHTEST WAY. My friend has the same camera and he walked into a spider web once and dropped it but it kind of rolled down his body and lightly hit the floor, but the whole auto focus system get ruined. He said it would focus and unfocus randomly and consistently and that it would make some sounds. Just take good care of the camera and maybe buy a protectant cover for it if they exist. I personally take very good care of the camera and I'm always conscious about not dropping it. I treat it almost like I'm holding a baby when I'm using it. I should give it five stars because it is a five-star camera but I had to take away a star for the battery life and for how easily it can be ruined from a simple drop. Be conscious of it and you'll be good! Hope everything I said helps! And I hope you enjoy your time filming! Check out my channel(Tee Will Explore) on YouTube if you want to get an idea of the quality. It's YouTube.com/@TeeWillExplore Look at newer vlogs because I was using another camera for the first like 7 or 8 vlogs. Bye!

Perfect Vlogging Companion - Finally, A Camera That Gets It
After years of wrestling with clunky DSLRs and mediocre smartphone video, the Sony ZV-1F has completely transformed my content creation game. It's clear this camera was designed by creators who genuinely understand the challenges vloggers face. The 20mm ultra-wide lens is a game-changer. I can now capture myself and the entire background without awkward contortions or relying on a selfie stick. The background defocus feature is pure magic—with a single button press, I can seamlessly switch between beautifully blurred backgrounds and crystal-clear shots, which is perfect for product reviews. Autofocus on this camera is mind-blowingly good. It locks onto my face and refuses to let go, even when I'm moving around or showcasing products. The Eye AF is so reliable that I've stopped obsessing over whether I'm in focus. The Product Showcase mode has revolutionized my unboxing videos, smoothly shifting focus to whatever I'm holding without any frustrating hunting or confusion. The audio quality caught me completely off guard. The built-in directional mic with its windscreen delivers sound quality that puts my previous external mic setup to shame. I've filmed next to bustling streets, and the background noise suppression ensures my voice remains crystal clear. Solo shooting has never been easier, thanks to the flip-out screen and intuitive controls. The red recording light is a brilliant touch—no more wasting time talking to a camera that wasn't even recording. The battery life keeps me going all day with a spare, and USB-C charging means I can quickly top up between locations. At its price point, the ZV-1F absolutely demolishes the competition. It's compact, produces stunning 4K footage, handles low light impressively, and most importantly, it gets out of the way and lets me focus on creating. For anyone serious about vlogging or content creation who wants to avoid complicated camera systems, this is the ultimate solution. My content quality skyrocketed, and my workflow became dramatically simpler. I cannot recommend this camera enough.

Great Camera for Beginner Creators – Compact, Sharp & Easy to Use
I’ve been using the Sony ZV-1F for a few weeks now, and overall, I’m really happy with it! As someone who makes content for YouTube and Instagram, I wanted a camera that’s better than my phone but not overly complicated — and this hits the mark. The image quality is excellent, especially in good lighting. The colors are vibrant, skin tones look natural, and the 20mm wide lens is perfect for vlogging or talking to the camera handheld. It gives a nice wide frame without distorting my face, and everything stays in focus thanks to the eye-tracking autofocus. Audio quality is surprisingly good — I haven’t even needed to use an external mic yet. The built-in microphone does a great job, and the windscreen included in the box actually works well outdoors. One of my favorite things is how simple and intuitive everything is. The touchscreen controls, the flip-out screen, and quick menu options make filming feel easy and even fun. It’s also very lightweight — great for travel or filming on the go. That said, there are a couple of downsides. Since the lens is fixed, you can’t zoom in optically, which limits how flexible it is for different shooting styles. Also, low-light performance is just okay — indoors or at night, the footage can get grainy unless you use extra lighting. And the stabilization is only digital, so walking shots can look a bit shaky unless you’re careful. But honestly, for the price and what it’s built for — quick, casual, quality content — it’s fantastic. If you’re a beginner, solo creator, or just want a step up from your phone without breaking the bank, the ZV-1F is a great choice.

I love it
Two years later an indispensable camera that takes great photos, the threaded lens hood gives it much more versatility than a ZV-1 zoomed camera
