I tend to use it on dry hair and it gives my hair a textured, matte finish. Even on damp hair it doesn't look greasy, which is something I found using other hair products. It gives it a really natural finish. The hold factor is great, the best I've had with clay by far. It will stay more or less the same all day, even in strong winds (although my hair is fairly short). It's not like concrete though, it's extremely pliable and you could change your style throughout the day without needing to reapply should you wish. The smell is subtle and really only noticeable up very close, I like the smell and I've had a few people randomly say my hair smells nice - which is always good!
