I read a lot of reviews for this product as the previous Bluetooth speaker i bought was - although cheaper than this one, pretty bad in terms of overall sound quality and stopped working after a couple of months as it would no longer charge making it good only for use as a paperweight or doorstop. Not so with the Dockin D though, this unit is of good apparent build quality with a solid feel to it, decent weight with silky feeling rubber type material at either end meaning you've got something to grab when moving from room to room as it's quite a bulky heavy speaker, one end has a flip open cover to protect the charging and connectivity ports from water as the speaker is splash proof. The sound quality is very good at this price, with serious punch for its size, decent bass without making the rest of the music muffled or dulled by it, in fact the instrument separation is good for a single unit with a decent amount of clarity. I've had no problems with Bluetooth connection at all, even when forgetting my phone was in my pocket and going down 2 flights of stairs the speaker was still playing. I've been using it for a few months now and it's been very reliable with very good battery life, good sound and even surviving a drink being spilled on it proving that it is indeed splash proof. I think that the Dockin D would be hard to beat at this price and even beats some more expensive more well known speakers. Recommended.

These are brilliant little speakers..!! For the price vs sound vs size,they are my favourite speakers and I've purchased a lot of Bluetooth speakers over the years. I bought one of these Dockin d fine speakers just over 6 years ago when they first came out. That speaker is still going strong today and is my favourite for use in the garden as it's not too big to carry around and it's got a lot of volume for it's size. I've just bought this Dockin d fine evo, as I thought it would pair up with my original Dockin speaker but unfortunately the original speakers won't pair with these new Dockin evo speakers to get a stereo pair. This was my only regret with the original Dockin d fine speaker 6 years ago, that I didn't buy another one at the time to make up a stereo pair. This new Dockin d fine evo speaker is virtually identical to my original, but Dockin have made some minor tweaks to make this speaker better. First one being that you can now charge the speaker up with a USB C cable and not their own 15v dc powered cable which makes life with this new version way better. Secondly it sounds a little bit more bass heavy and slightly better sound quality than the original speaker. The buttons on the top are all in black to match the body colour of this speaker which is a nice touch, compared to the silver buttons of the original speaker. So much so, I've just ordered another one only days after receiving this new Dockin d fine evo version.. only so I can have a linked stereo pair for once and for all. All in all a fantastic speaker, can't wait to receive the second one so I will finally get a stereo pair. The original Dockin d fine will be sold as it's still working perfectly after over 6 years of use, someone else will get some pleasure out of it for only a few pounds 😀 Thanks Dockin for a great speaker, just ashame my old version doesn't pair with the new version for stereo.

For a start Dockin's online customer service is top class. Very helpful and professional. The speaker itself is a masterpiece. I had big expectations after plwing the internet for th right one. I had a Sony's SRS-XB2 and I thought the sounds of it was great but not powerful enough (up to 20W). I decided to look out for something double that that and would go up to 95db. There are not that many options once you start digging into detail. This one is not waterproof but IP55 Dust- & Splashproof protection is what I was looking for as I am not taking it with me to the shower. It's got a great classy look. Fits nicely in my bedroom and makes my friends open their eyes when I take it out with me. It has seen one party so far and everybody was impressed. For that budget you won't find a better speaker on the market,and I did the research. Sound is truly amazing, loud and clear, no distortion, it's not a powerhouse at 50W but loud enough for a small beach party. Surprisingly it does not offer mobile phones control, like next track or phonecalls but that does not bother me. I also wish there was an app to control the speaker remotely. Your other option is JBL Xtreme (40W) or Megaboom but these look like toys, feel like toys , not real speakers. They are also a fraction quieter than the Dockin Fine. I am still trying to work out how to turn off the welcome and shutdown sound as it's quite annoying. Anyone with the same problem? Anyway - for this price - best speaker on the market. You can buy blindfolded!

Awesome speaker. What more can I say. Well, this is a slightly larger Bluetooth speaker than most but for that you get something with a great range of abilities. The sound quality is great, the volume it can deliver is truly outstanding for something you can pick up and carry around. The frequency range is excellent, sounding great from low down bass to the top of the music frequency range. I have just used this at a scout and cub camp to entertain the kids in a wood out in the open around a camp fire. It was easily able to cope with around 50 loud scouts and cubs and still be satisfyingly loud and clear above their noise levels without distorting or rattling. The bass levels were particularly excellent and utterly amazing considering we were outdoors. Back at home in the bedroom at much lower volumes the sound is still great, no background hiss and still giving a full frequency range at low volume. This really can cope with giving great sound in so many situations. Mine came with a power supply that can be switched from UK to European pins so don't even need a travel adapter unless you go to the US. Looking at other reviews the voice prompts are not to everyone's liking but they don't bother me. They are fairly unobtrusive I would guess less than 10% of the max volume. Any negative comments I have are very minor and to be expected considering what this speaker can do. 1) It can't be charged from a USB cable. 2) It would take up quite a lot of your luggage allowance if you took this on holiday. Where I use this speaker neither of these issues are a problem. If you need something that can go this loud on holiday then put up with the weight. It can go way too load for a hotel room anyway and you will not win any friends on a beach or camp site with it either. As for the charging issue, it needs a big battery to power the amp for so long. Consequently any USB charging would be just too slow. To get over these issues I have a Jam-2 and a Jam Heavy Metal which are much lighter and both sound brilliant as well. On holidays and in the kitchen I use the Heavy Metal unless I am really limited for weight. The Jam-2 I keep in my laptop bag for emergency music. In all other situations the Dockin D Fine is the speaker of choice. This really is one of those devices that exceeded my expectations. By the way. I paid my own money for this speaker. So this is my unbiased opinion.

Overall its a great value speaker, it connects fast, is louder than others in this price range, and simple to use! Its too big for a travel speaker, but one you can take to the park or beach and have a reasonable volume of music. I gave the speaker 4* for these reasons; - The sound is ok, but the treble is harsh and distorted at 2 clicks from full volume. The bass is ok for the size, but sounds "boxy", the middle hard bass struggles to really punch, and also distorts at full volume. The netted bag which comes with the speaker for carrying is useless really, better to put it in a rucksack. The the front and rear grills are steel mesh, so bend slightly when you pick it up (there are no handles) i can see these becoming dented and damaged over time. So this is where the JBL xtreme would win. It needs a handle or a strap and clips to be more portable rather than a cheap mesh bag thrown in the box. The 50 Watts quoted is probably peak 2 peak, not RMS, it sounds more like a 25W rms speaker in terms of power. I would consider these points before buying, not bad though at £120...

What a fantastic Bluetooth speaker this is... Sound quality is simply fantastic, I have just sold my Bose soundlink mini 2 which I have had for the past 3 years which I thought sounded great until I heard this. This simply blows it away! Yes the unit is bigger and not as portable I know, but if you can live with that then this is a must. Terrific deep punchy bass together with sparkling highs make this unit a much more rounded sound compared with the Bose and even has decent stereo separation to create a great sound stage in any room in your house, and with 50 watts of output it has more than enough power for most situations.. Bluetooth connection is very quick and solid and the unit has a quality built reassuring weight to it. Of course, the best thing about it is the price. I promise you now, you will not find a better sounding Bluetooth speaker anywhere for £120, and would go as far to say it probably sounds better than speakers costing twice as much if not more.. What are you waiting for?.........buy it now!

I've had this speaker since October 2018, it's now December 2019 and this thing still lasts all day playing along, I use it primarily as a soundbar and I often fall asleep and it's still on midday the next day and has tonnes of charge left, obviously it isn't playing but this is impressive. It plays solid for 10 hours at a good volume, the sound isn't very one directional, it sounds much more like a more complicated setup, the sound really fills a room. The bass is incredible for the size, the volume is very good and no issues at max volume, great for big outdoor spaces, the blutooth range is outstanding and it's never let me down. THE ONLY issue I have is the portability, it really isn't great for it. It fits snug in the bottom of the average rucksack, I often do this to have music when hiking for long periods but it is almost 2KG and isn't easy to carry about if you're travelling light. BUT this can't be held against it as you'd be sacrificing so much for a smaller size, less battery and less quality. If size is a big issue then you'd not even be looking at this speaker so I can't remove a star for this but it should be noted! Cannot recommend this speaker enough, when my one does die eventually (No signs of it doing so soon) I will be buying a replacement without a doubt!

After reading a fair amount reviews good and not so good I'm really impressed. I use it as a DJ speaker when im having a mess about and practising. To be honest I have tried a number of different genre of music and I have to say I'm impressed. As many review people have said the speaker is bass heavy and I guess I agree but it's a good amount of base. I have tried listening to even classical and the amount of treble and mid range work well with bass. The build of the speaker is phenomenal. Produced by a German company makes you understand why the Germans make their cars with such outstanding quality. This unit is solid and robust and made so very well. I have connected the speaker to various devices including apple and Android device and it's instant and I have walked away with the device and the distance of the connection is very good. I'm so glad that I didn't buy a UE megaboom or JBl or even a Bose speaker. I would've spent all that money for nothing. I purchased the speakers for £80 on Amazon special limited deal and I'm really quite chuffed. There is a model up called the 'plus' but in honestly I don't think you need to spend the extra money. Obviously different people have different opinions and I have had so many Bluetooth speakers in the past and I'm blown away buy the sound and quality. I have to this speaker is a heavy unit and would be heavy if you was planning to take on holiday but I think I will anyway :)

Le son est vraiment très bon en comparaison avec ma précédente UE Megaboom. Son reproduit a l'identique, bon partout, rond et bien équilibre sur mediums hauts et basses. Pas de basse ridiculement surbooste comme la Sound mini link de Bose. Son pas tout a fait 360 degrés mais vraiment pas loin. Le son sature quand même souvent avec des mp3 type 128 kbps sur téléphone portable milieu de gamme et peu parfois être décevant, mais avec des sons de bonne qualité et en sortie depuis pc portable le son est excellent même dans des styles musicaux exigeants. Hauts parleurs 50 Watts moins puissant que j'imaginais. Après deux décharges complètes tout fonctionne bien, pas de problèmes de batterie qui tient très bien a écoute moyenne. Biensur j'aurais apprécié une batterie 10000 mah. Excellent rapport qualité/ prix, je ne l’échangerais contre aucune autre actuellement disponible a ma connaissance.

En una palabra IMPRESIONANTE. Cuando recibí el producto lo primero que hice fue ponerlo en funcionamiento y fui subiendo el sonido esperando que sonara súper fuerte y la verdad que no fue así, cosa que al principio me decepcionó un poco pero claro, mi opinión fue cambiando gratamente puesto que si quieres algo que chille mucho y te deje sordo cómprate un megáfono del chino, que si suena fuerte, pero su calidad es pésima, cuando fui probando el altavoz durante varios días e hice mis ajustes con ecualizador me fui dando cuenta de la calidad de sonido y su alta potencia y como llena toda la habitación con sus graves, que son lo mejor que tiene, una vez que lo sacas al exterior y ves que se escucha realmente alto y limpio cuando vas subiendo el volumen se va regulando solo y reduciendo los graves de tal forma que hace que aún estando a máximo volumen no distorsione. Otro de los puntos que había leído negativos de este altavoz en internet es la duración de su batería . Compré el dockin d fine que promete 10 horas y realmente la mayoría de las marcas ponen más horas de duración de la que realmente ofrecen y he comprobado la duración real de batería y me ha durado 9 h en un volumen de un 80% y la verdad que está bastante bien considerando la alta potencia. Está claro que un altavoz de 20w puede durar 20 horas ,pero su potencia no es comparable, en cuanto a la portabilidad no lo veo un inconveniente, no es demasiado grande ni pesa tanto. Yo he comprado el maletín original y es una pequeña maleta donde te lo puedes llevar dónde quieras. Es verdad que no te lo puedes meter en el bolsillo pero si quieres eso para alguna ocasión escepcional te compras un anker 2 por 30 euros y ahí lo tienes por si te lo quieres echar al bolsillo. El dockin d fine dentro de su rango de precio es el mejor altavoz bluetooth que puedes encontrar, recomiendo su compra, no te arrepentirás.

Update: Ich habe nun vom Hersteller einen Ersatzlautsprecher bekommen, welcher eine komplett andere Verpackung hat. Es gibt also mit Sicherheit 2 Chargen wobei ich aber nur einen Unterschied garantiert festgestellt habe. Beide Lautsprecher haben ein unterschiedliches Logo. Die von Amazon gelieferte Version hatte eine schwarze Verpackung und der Lautsprecher einen "dockin"-Schriftzug am Lautsprechergitter. Die von Hersteller gelierte Version hat eine weiß-graue Verpackung und der Lausprecher eine großes "D" als Logo am Lautsprechergitter. Nach genauer Gegenüberstellung beider Lautsprecher ist mir nur eine unterschiedliche Zeit aufgefallen, welche nötig ist, ehe der Lautsprecher im Standby abschaltet. Hier braucht die "dockin"-Version 15 Minuten und die "D"-Version nur 5 Minuten. Klanglich unterscheiden sich aber beide Lautsprecher etwas. Die Version mit dem "dockin"-Logo hat die von mir bereits unten beschriebenen klanglichen Eigenschaften. Die andere Version mit dem "D"-Logo hat deutlich mehr Bassdruck bei geringerer Lautstärke, ist dafür aber zurückhaltender in den Höhen. Weiteres ist die lautstärkenabhängige Bassverscheibung größer. Bei maximaler Lautstärke am Lautsprecher und Regelung über das Abspielgerät ist der Bass nun mit jenem des Xtreme vergleichbar, aber deutlich knackiger und tiefer. Die maximale Lautstärke ist gleich. Ich kann natürlich nicht sagen ob der erste Lautsprecher einen Defekt hat, aber ich glaube das eigentlich nicht, da die Unterschiede nicht massiv sind. Ich finde den zweiten D Fine mit der weißen Verpackung und dem "D"-Logo wesentlich angenehmer. Der stärkere Bass gefällt mir da ich den Xtreme gewohnt bin und die etwas geringeren Höhen sind auf Dauer nicht so anstrengend wie beim ersten D Fine. Das Problem mit dem "Wandern" bei Basskicks ist nun stärker als beim ersten Gerät, was aber durch den deutlich stärkeren Bass logisch ist. Da der zweite Lautsprecher auch keine optischen Mängel mehr hat, gebe ich dem Produkt nun 5 Sterne. Etwas besseres ist in der Preisklasse garantiert nicht zu finden. Der Service vom Hersteller ist übrigens auch erstklassig! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ich habe bereits einen JBL Xtreme und auch den Aukey Eclipse mit welchen beiden ich sehr zufrieden bin. Da der so oft im Netz gelobte Dockin D Fine im Angebot für unter 100€ zu bekommen war, konnte ich nicht widerstehen und habe den Lautsprecher gekauft. Geliefert wird der D Fine in einem mit Folie versiegelten und bedruckten Karton. Die Verpackung wirkt hochwertig und sieht teuer aus. Im Lieferumfang befindet sich der Lautsprecher, ein passendes Netzteil (15V), eine Netztasche für den Transport, ein Klinkenkabel sowie eine Gebrauchsanweisung. Der Lautsprecher selbst ist gut verarbeitet, nicht mehr und nicht weniger. An einigen Stellen ist das Maschengitter nicht sauber lackiert und die Spaltmaße sind nicht überall gleich. Das Gitter ist zudem recht weich und könnte ruhig etwas dicker sein um Dellen vorzubeugen. Die Klappe ist leider etwas fummelig in der Bedienung. Die Knöpfe haben einen sehr schwammigen Druckpunkt an welchen man sich erst gewöhnen muss. Das Pairing klappt dank NFC sehr schnell und sauber. Der D Fine gibt seinen Status mit einer dezenten Stimmwiedergabe wieder. Diese ist angenehm leise. Die Reichweite ist grandios. Im Haus über 2 Stockwerke hinweg kein Abbruch, ebenso im Garten bis 30 Meter Luftlinie. Nun aber zum Wichtigstem, nämlich dem Klang. Das Grundrauschen hält sich sehr zurück und ist nur bei geringer Lautstärke leicht hörbar. Beim Klang selbst hat mich der D Fine zuerst etwas enttäuscht da ich ihn direkt mit dem JBL Xtreme verglichen habe. Hier fällt zuerst der im Vergleich sehr schwache Bass und die schärferen/klareren Höhen auf. Die maximale Lautstärke ist vergleichbar. Dafür kann man beim D Fine Instrumente heraushören, welche beim Xtreme einfach untergehen. Und das über den gesamten Frequenzbereich. Der Klang des D Fine ist also grob gesagt viel differenzierter und detailreicher. Hier geht nichts im Bass unter wie es beim Xtreme oft der Fall ist. Ebenso sind die beim Xtreme bereits gut vorhandenen Höhen beim D Fine noch einmal deutlicher ohne aber zu verfälschen. Der Bass des D Fine ist zwar deutlich schwächer als beim Xtreme, geht aber tiefer und ist viel knackiger ohne nach zu dröhnen. Ich würde sagen, der Bass ist beim D Fine einfach passend zum Rest des Klangbildes. Beim Xtreme wird er ja stark künstlich erhöht. Aber wenn man das einmal gewohnt ist, ist es schwer beim Thema Bass objektiv zu bleiben. Der D Fine ist deutlich Pegelfester als der Xtreme und spielt bis nahezu 100% ohne Defizite und starke Basseinlagen lassen hier nicht die Mitten wegbrechen wie beim JBL. Der Bass lässt sich beim D Fine minimal mit der Lautstärkenregelung anheben oder abschwächen. Dreht man am D Fine voll auf und Abspielgerät nur wenig, dann ist der Bass etwas stärker als umgekehrt. Und wenn einem der Bass zu gering ist kann man mit einem EQ nachhelfen. Die Mitten und Höhen leiden erstaunlicher weise nicht darunter. Der Stereoeffekt ist leider nicht so der Hammer. Ja er ist etwas besser als bei kleineren Lautsprechern, aber richtig getrennt kann man die beiden Kanäle nicht bezeichnen. Dafür kann aber der Lautsprecher nichts, denn die beiden Treiberpaare liegen hier einfach viel zu dicht aneinander. In Summe würde ich den D Fine als ausgeglichen bezeichnen mit etwas zu wenig Bass. Der einzige negative Punkt ist, dass der D Fine bei starken Basskicks ab einer gewissen Lautstärke zu wandern beginnen kann, da beide Passiv-Membranen auf der selben Seite sind. Ich werde den D Fine behalten da sich dieser mit dem Xtreme perfekt ergänzt. So kann ich je nach Situation den richtigen Lautsprecher auswählen. Der D Fine klingt sehr erwachsen, absolut sauber und ausgeglichen. Der Dockin ist also für mich der richtige Lautsprecher für einen gemütlichen Abend auf der Terrasse oder am Pool. Der Xtreme hat deutlich mehr Bass und wird eher auf Partys zum Einsatz kommen. Dieser spiegelt deutlich den Geschmack der jüngeren Generation wieder, wo es weniger auf Details als auf wummernde Bässe ankommt. Mein eindeutiger Lieblingslautsprecher bleibt aber der Aukey Eclipse. Dieser ist noch gut zu transportieren und erzeugt für seine Größe einfach einen sehr guten Sound. Hier passt mir persönlich das Gesamtpaket am besten. Dem D Fine gebe ich 4 Sterne. Das nicht sauber lackierte Gitter und die unsauberen Spaltmaße kosten Stern Nummer 5. Seinen Lobeshymnen wird der D Fine meine Meinung nach nicht ganz gerecht. Allerdings bin ich nur ein Mensch der gerne Musik hört ohne übertriebene Ansprüche zu haben. Meine Meinung ist also rein subjektiv zu verstehen.

Witajcie. Dzisiaj wylądowały u mnie:⁠-⁠). Naładowałem lepszą ładowarką przewód USB C - USB C. Posiadam dużą kolekcję głośników Dockin i każde grają lekko inaczej. Ten Dockin D Fine o nr 16122 ma w sobie jeszcze inny charakter, głębszy i taki basik z lekkim przytupem jakby było go słychać na żywo z jakiejś sceny:⁠-⁠D. Przecież dopiero co przesłuchałem parę utworów. Jak zawsze trzeba wygrzać membrany i zacznie lepiej zaskakiwać. Bałem się kodeków AAC ale naprawdę nie chcę jeszcze po tak krótkim czasie użytkowania pisać i wprowadzać kogoś w błąd ale to lepiej daję jak D Fine 2....... Napiszę po dłuższym okresie użytkowania na pewno coś na +++ . Bateria to jak w poprzednikach na pewno na full nie będzie grał 10 h plus jakieś ostre basy wybaczcie.
