Good sturdy kit

The hinges are well made, really sturdy and exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately some of the screws to attach them were not sent with the order.

Cannot fault. Fitted my gate, I didnt need the eyes only the pins, but pretty solid. Easy to fit.

I was given a homemade wrought iron gate, so made out of substantial steel sections and lots of them. Because it's rectangular, I bored holes in the side of the gate equi-distant from either end. This allows me to turn the gate upside down to paint the bottom rail properly, but also to see what bits I'd missed on the undersides of the curlicues. The fixing holes in the pin plates are about 7mm in diameter. Screws are provided but given the weight of the gate I decided that 6mm dia x 40mm long coach screws would be more secure. Very cheap from Toolstation along with the big 12mm dia heavy duty washers that replaced the outer nut due to passageway width limitations. If the gate/hinges needed to be anti- lift, you could always bore a hole through the top of the pin and insert a big split pin or similar.

Product not yet fitted. Screws supplied are for wood, but I'm hanging the gate on a hollow steel post. I've purchased 6mm x 80mm bolts for this, with nuts, to ensure it will carry weight of gate. No reason to expect this will not work. (I don't weld). Seems to be good quality and Value for money.

Dommage Not as advertised, see photo. Will become even smaller with wear. Drawing on the item page even shows it as 12.5mm. I may have to return them if I can’t figure out a way to use them.
