800x SD UHS-I Card

I will start off by saying, i’m not transferring huge files, the largest iv done is 3gb and it was quick enough for me to not really notice, so the speed is pretty solid. Build quality is nice and it’s just plug and play. This is exactly what I wanted, great product.

This review is for my Lexar card reader RW450 (Rev B) that claims to leverage UHS-I speeds over the 104 MB/s threshold and UHS-ii speeds too. It does; ..... see the images – the 128 MB/s is for a 170 MB/s UHS-I card to my SSD & through a USB A 3.0 port on a Lenovo x270; the other image reading 212 MB/s is a v60 UHS-ii card using the identical port on the x270. Hey, this card reader does what it says; both UHS-I & UHS-ii speeds, in my case, through a USB A 3.0 port. My Sandy Pro reader UHS-ii USB C does not leverage UHS-I enhanced speeds (it sits a 89MB/s) but is a bit faster for UHS-ii (it’s USB C bear in mind). This Lexar does both UHS-I and ii & for me with cards that are used in cameras that only do UHS-I and a new one that does UHS-ii; this Lexar then, has the edge over my other card readers.

Happy enough with this card reader, fast transfer with UHS-II cards. No problems up to now.

This reader is reliable, and thoughtful. Micro SD cards sit flush and normal sd cards slot in with a reassuring feeling. Both work and are fast. My past sd card reader ruined my cards so many times and this hasn’t done anything but do as it’s told. Works with my rubbish sd cards and also nicer ones. I got it for a very cheap price and for that I’d say I got a very nice deal. The build quality is also pretty good, it’s an odd design but it gives it a nice uniqueness. I like! Would recommend.

Have been using this reader regularly & must say it's a really nice bit of kit. It has the multi read options & an operational device light to tell you when it's plugged in & active. It is a UBS 3.1 connector & seems to have a very quick transfer rate. It's a good shape to be able to plug in & retrieve with ease. Would highly recommend.

Works fine. Ever failed me. It does feel plasticky compared to others but it just works every time so can’t complain.

not too impressed the wide case blocks any adjacent port so you can only use 1 usb at a time. and it only allows 1 micro sd or 1 full sd at a time not both which seems a bit feature lacking. besides that it didn't last as long as the original lexar caddy that shipped with my lexar microsd card. The spring to eject the card is quite strong but the micro sd card retainer mechanism seems quite weak and it wore out in just 2years and 9 months from purchase. For the amount I paid I expected more quality £17.99 in hindsight was way over the odds. At the time it was all I could find. However determined to get my money's worth I ripped the cover off and the internal metal cover around the microsd socket, (the spring pinged out and went flying into the microverse) and found that it lends itself to a slight modification: a clothes peg can hold the micro sd card in position and I 100% used it to make a win11 installer and installed win11 with no errors. Don't know how much longer it'll last. Nothing to lose by trying since it was out of warranty and didn't work anyway, good luck with that.

Je cherchais un lecteur de carte rapide. Il ne m'a pas déçu. Il fonctionne très bien et surtout avec un taux de transfert élevé. J'en avais un autre ... je l'ai donné!!! Je garde celui-là. Je vous le recommande vivement.

Incroyable lecteur de cartes qui permet enfin d’utiliser toute la vitesse de lecture et d’écriture des cartes SD et microSD. Attention, il ne supporte que ces deux formats : pas de CFexpress. Mes anciens lecteurs plafonnaient à 20 Mo/s, ce qui était très limitant. Avec celui-ci, je profite pleinement des performances de mes cartes, notamment une V30 qui atteint environ 150 Mo/s en lecture comme en écriture. Pour la photo comme pour la vidéo, c’est un vrai gain de temps et un outil devenu indispensable sur mon poste de travail.

This is an UHS-II cardreader which seems to max out my 256GB Lexar gold UHS-II micro-sd card. CrystalDiskMark reports read up to 281mb/s, write up to 205mb/s, using a single card. Which is even a bit faster than the advertised speeds of the card (280/180). Very happy.
