Astra Depot Forward Controls Pegs Levers Linkages Compatible with Harley Sportster XL 1200 883 2014-2022 (Black)

Installed this kit on my 2014 XL883 Superlow. Truly horrible instructions, but not too hard to figure out once you lay everything out and compare to original controls. Lots of room for these if you have a factory moustache bar as I have on my bike, at least 3" of clearance. One review said you had to remove the front lower exhaust pipe and muffler to remove the stock mid-mount controls - NOT TRUE! I made a 1" bit cut from an Allen Wrench and turned it with a ratcheting wrench, no problem! Someone also said these are weak, but they seem strong to me, nice finish. Less than half the price of HD - I'll take 'em!

Years ago I bought aftermarket forward controls for a Sportster and they were kind of wobbly and fitted badly. They did the job but didn't give a lot of confidence. These feel strong and firm. The instructions are pretty bad, they're basically just a diagram, so you'll have to figure it out yourself as you go.

I’ve recently started modding my sporty to a Bobber. These fit on a 2020 iron 883. The instructions are laughable, but I’m a beginner and a few YouTube videos later I had these on in about an hour or 2. I think I spent more time trying to psych myself up that I could do it. Install itself was easy enough, nothing was misaligned or damaged or anything like that. They look nice, I’m happy with them. They are lighter and flex a bit, but I hardly notice and doubt they are even flexing when I’m riding. I took a star due to instructions and the fact that I was missing a spring washer; They could also be stronger but it’s not like they are weak. But I do recommend if you aren’t willing to shell out 500 bucks for Harley’s, especially if you’re not even sure you’ll like forward controls (you’re crazy if you don’t after you feel how badass it is to ride with them). If the manufacturer is reading this, I would gladly pay double if you could make these controls 50 percent stronger quality and make an install video. Note to newbies like myself: BEWARE when installing the rear brake rod, the nut head to keep the threaded bolt from spinning in hiding under the rubber boot where the spring hides. IT IS NOT THE NUT THAT YOU CAN SEE. YOUR ROD WILL FALL OFF. 2020 model at least.

Directions could use a little work but the actual controls are great, everything fit and all of the hardware to install it was with it. Best mod I've made to this bike yet.

Put together with the very crappy instructions that are included and they are just very wobbly. Everything is tight down but the parts just don’t seem to fit well. Do not recommend
