MINIMUM 1" gap, if it's smaller - this isn't the product you need. The adjustment knob is required for the system to work, and it's 1" to start - so the rest of the size adjustment bits are useless to you without the 1" knob to attach them. You cannot just adjust a tiny amount, the adjustment knob will be too large. Just go get regular shims in that case. If this is more than 2", it's also not the right tool - the mechanism you stack parts with is flimsy and questionable - choose one of the other systems for toilet support. I don't know why this was almost 20$, it's about 4cents worth of 3d printed material.

I replaced the bolts in my toilet tank that connect it to the bowl. I noticed some movement, not much, in the tank, but from everything I read, that was normal for the type of installation bolts that I used. That said, I was still a little nervous that someone would lean back and crack the tank or something, so I got this kit to brace the tank against the wall, and it was very easy to install these to the tank and brace the tank against the wall. Made me feel alot better for someone to come poop at my house.

Great Discovery for me. Fixed the problem and now the Tank doesn't move. No water leakage anymore. Great product and super easy to install.

I know nothing about plumbing and toilets but I needed something to brace the toilet tank at my apartment and these worked great. There were enough add on pieces in different sizes that I could brace the gap between tank and wall completely. Recommended..

These are super-easy to use and work. The only thing I did not like was that you can see them from the top side. If it was designed to extend further 'down' the backside of the toilet, then it would be a 5-star rating from me. But, don't let that stop you from buying these because they really do work well.
