Getting an endometriosis diagnosis shouldn’t feel like a life sentence. Because endo is an inflammatory disease, your diet, lifestyle, and treatment choices will impact how your disease behaves, whether through improving your symptoms, reclaiming your fertility or through the stunning possibility of disease remission. Heal Endo puts the power back in your hands to reclaim your life from endometriosis. Based on hundreds of published scientific studies, interviews with experts, and patient stories, this handbook clearly lays out the personal actions that can help put you back in control, starting today. After reading Heal Endo, you will understand: What endometriosis really is, and how it develops. That there are different types of endo that affect our bodies differently. The specific anti-inflammatory food and lifestyle factors proven to help. How bacteria is the secret endo-trigger few people are talking about, and how to address it. The role hormones play, and simple ways to support healthy levels. Which chemicals are associated with endometriosis, and how to avoid them. Why surgery is an important tool, and why the type of surgery matters greatly. While a “cure” may not (yet) be available, remission is the option you should aim for. Review: GET THIS BOOK, GAME CHANGER - Read it in a day! Most useful information I have EVER found and written in a way that's easy to process. Again just took me a day to read it even those it's over 300 pages. I was constantly sighing and thinking to myself "Finally, some answers for these problems I've had for years!" It completely aligns with what my specialists have told me so far too. But with months waiting for appointments I just can't keep waiting that long to learn more about my condition. She does a great job providing resources as well for anything she's not quite the expert on, which with the condition is really important. One of the most exhausting condition to have and it provides a real actionable plan. Important to note this book does not claim to completely cure/rid yourself of endo, this is not possible currently. The plan is to get it to the best place possible and get to remission. It's also written very empathetically, and with compassion for all walks of life with endo. Anyone with this condition knows the medical gaslighting so it felt so good to be seen! It's hard to understand what someone really needs if they haven't lived it themselves. Review: Life changing book! - This book has dramatically improved my life! Amazing information, highly recommend.

Immediately feel seen and heard
As soon as this book arrived. I immediately retreated to my reading nook. Not even 30 minutes into it, could it be? Someone actually gets it. It took me the better part of 20 years to be diagnosed. I really appreciate her touching on infertility in the first half as well. Firstly, she experienced it first hand as an endometriosis suffer so why shouldn’t she speak on it? And also, that’s one of the main times endometriosis gets taken seriously in my experience. Once they smell an IVF $$$ patient they’re right on it. You suspect endo? Their response is “whatever”. You even hint at fertility problems and they become way more interested. You can’t be helped and you’re incurable but will gladly take your money. One minute I was considered “too young” to experience what I was expressing and the next minute in my early thirties I’m gently being called geriatric by actual geriatric male doctor. Very dehumanizing. So, I’d say it’s very important toward the topic. Again. Not even far into the book and I can tell this is going to be a book you don’t put down. It’s such a respectful approach that is not commonly used. I feel very optimistic using this as a guide to prep for a better future. Thank you Katie Placebo effect is acknowledged when they want you to take those birth control pills but not in the way they discuss your condition with you. Wow. This book is a GAME CHANGER. So grateful it was recommended to me. “I’m not a mouse” LITERALLY

This book gives us hope!
Finally. This book explains what endo really is, how it grows in our bodies, and how to stop it - based on solid research and not more opinions. The author clearly explains what we need to do to heal endo, and even get it into remission. She explains how we can change our daily lives to fight it, and when to seek professional help. She even tells us how to talk to our doctors. There is a great chapter by Dr. Andrew Cook on when to get surgery and exactly what kind of surgery you will need. The book is packed with data and info, but it was very easy to read and understand. I bought both the kindle edition and a hard copy, because I want to keep it on my shelf to refer to and make notes in. This book gives us profound new hope. Highly recommend to women with endo who are looking for a real solution.

CHANGED MY LIFE!
This is the first physical book I’ve read about Endo. I’ve lived this this condition for more than 13 years and has affected me to a point were I am on disability now. I am unemployed due to this illness and spend most of my days reading about, so you would say I know a thing or two. This book is amazing. Easy to read. Great advise to follow. Katie is a great writer and scientist. I truly recommended to every person that I stumbled upon that has Endo. I love it Katie, thank you so much.

AMAZING book but it's SCENTED!
The intro of this book made me cry. I was diagnosed with endometriosis this summer when I had surgery to remove a very large cyst and it was a lot to take in. I didn't have a lot of symptoms leading up to surgery but I had a stage 4 endo with a 12cm cyst on an ovary so that just shows how everyones experience can be different. I feel like I detached from everything afterwards and didn't want to face how my life could look moving forward and the beginning of the book released a lot of penned up emotions for me. I realized some of the things I was afraid of and also felt connection through feeling my fears and experiences acknowledged as well as hearing that is wasn't my fault. The book is full of very useful information, I really didn't know much about it before I was diagnosed so super useful and I really loved the holistic approach. I'd already made a lot of diet and lifestyle changes prior to surgery but it was really nice seeing specific guidelines for endo and how to help it from returning. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because the book is SCENTED and for a book on removing endocrine disrupters that felt like an oxymoron. I've never had a scented book in my life so it felt very unnecessary and I would love it that was changed for future prints. I would recommend maybe doing the kindle version instead if you're looking to get it.

Hope & JOY in healing
This is the book I wish I'd had 17 years ago when I was first diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis! Until I got hit with a debilitating case of "long covid," I had no idea that the disease I'd been dealing with all along was a systemic inflammatory disease… Suddenly EVERYTHING made sense!! Admittedly, I am one of the lucky ones. I was connected to some wonderful alternative practitioners early in my journey and have been able to work with a naturopath more recently since COVID put my system over the edge over 2 years ago. AND STILL it wasn't until reading this book that I fully transitioned into the role of EMPOWERED PATIENT. Now, as I prepare for my second surgery, I feel SO MUCH HOPE both for my own case and for those who come after me. I am so incredibly grateful to Katie Edmonds for the time, attention, insight, and genuine are that went into this amazing book 🩷

Goodbye Brain Fog and Chronic Pain
To be to the point: this book is very easy to read, you gain a lot of knowledge about endometriosis and there are a lot of suggestions of life style changes you can apply to improve your condition and if you are lucky go into remission. More details on my experience, I recently got diagnosed with stage 3 endometriosis following an laparoscopy surgery and shortly after found this book. Simply put this knowledge has changed my life. I have learned so much about what is happening in my body and how to manage it and also am able to explain to loved ones what is going on with me. I finally feel like I have control and very much believe that this can be managed with a holistic approach. She does suggest an elimination diet and instead I did a Everlywell blood test to find out what foods disrupt my immune system. Most of the foods she suggested that could possibly be needed to cut out were sensitivities for me. ( cows dairy, wheat , nightshade veggies, etc).

A bright light at the end of the never-endoing tunnel!
This book is a must read for anyone who believes they may suffer from Endometriosis as it offers a new and insightful lense which, speaking from my own experience, may really help sufferers to manage the disease and work towards remission. I have unfortunately had Endometriosis for many years and have endured some truly gruelling treatments and surgeries. In recent years I have tried and tested various natural alternatives to the hormone therapies and terrible goserelin injections and found that adopting an any inflammatory diet plus reducing chemical exposure (e.g via foods, drinks, water and cosmetics) has been the most effective. A couple of weeks ago I found a recommendation for this book on the internet and having bought it, I can honestly say it’s brilliant. It reaffirms everything that I have learned through trial and error, which is very reassuring and also explains that most of what we believe to be true about Endometriosis is perhaps a part truth. The traditional villain of The Endo story, oestrogen, often plays a part in driving some of the more widely recognised symptoms but is most definitely not the cause that many doctors make it out to be and most importantly it is not the only route to improvement which is what we are mostly lead to believe. 100% recommend this book for anyone suffering with this horrible disease. BIG thankyou to Katie for a brilliant book!

A must have for anyone with endometriosis
This book is just great. I love it so much! I was hesitant as I thought you can find everything on the internet and I wasn't sure if it was worth buying. IT IS! It is so nicely written and everything is explained so well. I love that there are references throughout the book so you can look up all the scientific papers that discovered something. I love that the book explains how the body works as a COMPLEX SYSTEM, how everything is related and how the stuff you eat impacts what happens inside. I really love reading the book and it filled me with the hope that maybe I can heal one day. Another thing that makes me really love the book and that gained my trust is, that it is not some sort of "alternative-all-natural-medicine" book that would tell you to never take medication and to never have surgery. It is a very well-balanced book with a vast amount of information. I think that this book should be in every hospital, in every gynaecologist's waiting room. I want my partner to read it too because it is just so fascinating. So, don't hesitate and buy it. You will not regret it.

Good for maintaining healthy lifestyle but not for curing advance level Endometriosis.
This book is like an collection of all the floating informations available on internet about endometriosis. Unfortunately there is no practical solutions given for extreme pain that patients go through. The nutrition and exercise chapter is good for maintaining a healthy feminine body. Pyschological tips are good. If you have advanced level issue and chronic pain, it wont be of much use.
