Even though I want to, I can't GateKeep this awesome product
Alright, so I absolutely HATE kitty litter, so much that I trained my older cat to use the toilet since he was a young cat. However, my new kitten just can't grasp the toilet concept no matter what I try, so I finally gave in and got a robo Kitty Litter... while that works great, my little turd of a kitten has had a couple of accidents (peeing only) even though he's next to the robo-litter box. I figured it's the texture of the actual litter he hates. Plus, I have 3 floors so he's recently started to have a couple of "accidents" upstairs and not going into the basement robo litter box - thus I needed to add another cat litter on the top floor (no robo-litter box, just a regular faux plant cat litter box).Anyway, I tried every kitty litter you that's out there on the market: pellets, flushable, mulchy kind, Pretty Litter, Crystal one, - you name it. I even the Sustainably Yours Cat Grain Formula - and while it does well on smell, it clumps waaayyy too much and you have to change out the box more often. And while the pretty & crystal littler looks nice it doesn't absorb the smell and it turns the litter box yellow/green (vastly different than its original color (blue/white). It's just gross. Finally, after so much research I decided to try Dr. Elsey's Premium Clumping Cat Litter. OMG, it's a game changer. It works so well, that I think I finally will stop trying new litter and stick to this one as my main one. I was afraid that it would have that clay litter effect, where's it's just gross but holy crap, no. It clumps very fast, and very well, There's no smell (but then again I do have a Cat genie next to my upstairs Faux Plant Cat Litter Box. It's definitely a game changer. The only downfall is that it is HEAVY.... I mean... heavy - but, so worth it. My little turd hasn't had any accident since using this new litter. As the title says, I'd love to gatekeep only b/c you know supply and demand drives the prices up, but I can't. It's that much of an amazing product that hopefully someone reads this, relates to my original dilemma a and can help resolve their challenge.

Trained my outdoor cat!
Okay, this litter works! I was worried that my outdoor adult cat would be unable to learn to use the kitty litter. After a recent trip to the vet and a cone placed on her head, poor kitty is not allowed outside for the time being.I followed the vet's suggestion to put the kitty litter by the door where she usually heads out to do her business and mix some of the garden soil in the litter. She didn't use it immediately but finally did this morning after a grueling 48-hour wait. I thought she was going to burst on our carpet or couches! But she finally succumbed to using the litter.Even with the garden soil mixed in, it's easy to spot where her waste is and even easier to scoop up. It clumped well and was easy to clean. The price is quite high, but you get the value for the money in this litter because of its attractive quality. I will buy one more bag of this before switching to a regular litter, hoping we can finally house-break our cat.Because we mix our litter with the garden soil, there is a significant smell. This is because the poo and pee isn't completely covered in the kitty litter. Once we transition to 100% litter, I'll return with an updated review! I do like that there is no other scent in the litter, so the soil smell she's used to is prominent and inviting.

Great clumping natural litter
This worked great in our multi-cat household! I was a little worried about how it would hold up with multiple cats around, but it did exactly what we needed it to do.It stayed secure and held up well even with other cats trying to groom or mess with it, and it gave me peace of mind knowing my catโs incision was protected during recovery. My cat was still comfortable moving around, eating, and resting without any issues.Definitely a great option if you have more than one cat in the house and need something reliable during recovery.

SO FAR, so good. Pretty darned good litter:
So we had much of the same issues many describe here, found out about this litter on some blog and forums postings after researching our issue, cat peeing n many spots and not using the box, where her sister was doing nothing of the sort. We had almost kicked her out of the house to the porch, though our house is 2 cats and 2 dogs and all are part of our pack. Everyone else was feeling the problem. Got my lady and I arguing a small bit about how to deal with the issue. I had researched outdoor pet huts, and heated bowls, this is, right in our area, when the cold was hitting hard and we felt sorry for her, but she had resorted to peeing allover the dog beds which are a beast to clean, a heavy shag carpet we had to take outside, use 6 pairs of vice grips and clamp it to a fence, saturate it and clean with lots of detergent and urine neutralizer, and wait 4 days for it to dry outside... and more. Thankfully it was the places we COULD clean successfully.I had read about it, 14 minutes before our area petsmart was closing (only place around here that has it) closing and was desperate. Hopped up, and out got in the truck and headed to get some of this litter promised to make a difference. Realized they might not HAVE it in stock. Called and they didn't have any. Came back home disappointed, yet determined to get some. The next day at work, talked with a friend who also had the same issue and talked her into trying it at the same time. She grabbed some on her way home, as we picked some up at petsmart. At present amazon price, 8 dollars more expensive there, but we needed something immediately. We both chatted via FB about noticing it working immediately. Blown away.Since then I have ordered it a few times via amazon, one time it was WAY too clumpy. Like gooey when urine hit it. Thus, my 4 instead of 5 star review. Maybe a fluke, maybe not... nevertheless, it has, from what we've noticed had some inconsistent quality.BUT it HAS so far, solved or at least alleviated our issue. It clumps hard, it is heavy. It is not AS dusty. It is NOT scented. Like at all. It does NOT track around the house, as much. As long as you keep it clean and follow the directions (use a new box today, and every few weeks at least, DO clean your cat box, people).. it will work. Get the attractant here on amazon as well, use a small bit of that each time or every other time you add litter. KEEP YOUR CATBOX CLEAN.We have had one period of regression. We took her to the vet and they found no severe issues in this 14 year old cat. They DID find a few white blood cells in her urine, so they put her on clavamox which we are just finishing. We notice her howling like meows sometimes and THAT is the time it is time to get up and help her get to the box.We purchased Moist Pounce in a plastic container, and use it to reward her when and only when she uses the box. Treats are better with cats, used as training aids... and cats really respond to positive reinforcement. They don't respond not matter what you believe, to scolding: their minds are something people will never really truly understand, but negative reinforcement does not work. so go with the positive. Pay her more attention. Use a brush and pet her more. ON a regular basis. And take her to a vet, people. I know, an expenditure... but get her some help if you can.And give this a try.It COULD be what keeps you from disowning your cat, or being so mad at the friend you love that you nearly go out of your mind.Good luck and post questions, if I can answer them I will.

Attracts Catโs to litter box and great Odor Conrol!
02-Jan-2021. Reviewed in USADr. Elsey's ( Cat Attract) Premium Clumping Cat LitterWe began using Dr Elseyโs Cat Attract Premium Clumping Cat Litter about 6 years ago. We purchased a kitten and introduced her into our home where we also had an older established cat. They got along well but the kitten refused to share a litter box with the older cat. We tried adding an additional cat box so they would each have their own, but continued to use the clumping cat litter we had used for years. We tried changing the brand of litter, with no improvement. We then took the kitten to her Veterinarian. and he suggested that the cat seemed to get along well. The kitten, having changed home with new people, a different cat and surroundings could be enough to have added enough stress to cause her to use a cat box.He did have a suggestion immediately at hand (no he didnโt sell it in his clinic ๐). He suggested Dr. Elseyโs CAT ATRACK clumping cat litter. He explained that our kittenโs problem was not uncommon, but a commercial โcureโ was widely available that contained a natural hormone that drew the cat to her litter box containing The Dr. Elseyโs litter when she need to make a โpit stopโ and also calmed the cat while she was in the box.The kitten had long hair and the previous litters we had tried tended somewhat, to stick to the fur on her haunches. This would then fall off as she wandered the house. Dr Elseyโs litter consists of a finer grain and it seems not to stick to her fur anywhere as frequently as the old litter.ONE HUGE benefit is that the Dr. Elseyโs litter is that it prevents Oder from developing anywhere from 1-3 days longer than the previous brands advertising โmulti-catโ formula or โheavy duty Odor Controlโ, depending on the ambient temperature of the room. As cleaning the cat box is my jobโน๏ธ, I clean the feces and urine clumps once to twice a day to keep โShe who must be obeyedโ a Happy Camper.Dr. Elseyโs Cat Attract is marginally more expensive than the more commonly known brands. But In the 7-14 pound size containers. The company includes a coupon book for a number of their products PLUS a $1.00 off coupon for new container of the Dr Elseyโs Cat attract litter. In our opinion itโs a great product and well worth the extra expense.

Eh
I wanted this to work for my multi cat household. Ultimately i have two cats, both male neutered, one was adopted right away at 6 weeks and the other after approximately one to two years. It's very possible the second was feral, he is naturally a highly anxious cat as well unless he is in your lap, in which he's very sedate. So this cat who was likely feral had a habit of ALWAYS peeing outside the box, it didn't matter how many boxes, what kind of litter, if you cleaned it every day, if you used enzymatic cleaners, i tried multiple automatic litter boxes, the ONLY time he'd use the box would be if i LITERALLY just cleaned it to pee in. He usually pooped in it, however if there was significant urine outside the box then he would poop there too SO GROSS! Urine analysis came back healthy via the vet, absolutely nothing to treat. I believed this was accurate because of his other anxious behaviors. I also tried pheremone sprays and collars to no improvement. I'm not willing to put my cat on psychotropic drugs for this issue.Tried this litter and yes if i JUST cleaned the box he would use it to pee. And when i say clean i don't mean SCOOP i mean take ALL the used litter out and scrub and wash everythign with soap and water. Otherwise he would not. I don't have the time nor energy to wash his box every time one of them pees or poops. It's was incredibly frustrating as the litter is not cheap and not the best choice for an asthmatic such as myself, very dusty. I would wear an n-95 mask when dealing with this and run a hepa filter, albeit for someone not asthmatic that may not be necessary, but it's a bit disappointing when there are other litters out there that are very little to no dust.Ultimately I bought a home and after spending 700 dollars on a litter robot PLUS using this litter and still having him pee in my apartment prior to moving I decided to try something drastically different. NO LITTER BOX!! Just a window that opens to the outside. I thought there'd be accidents SO I put plastic on my hardwood floors in my home. To my surprise there have been ZERO accidents that I can see NOR smell and I have a smaller humble home that if they there were it would be noticed!I believe some cats especially in multi cat households will always believe another cat's pee is there to mark their territory and therefore they just need to be outside cats or at minimum inside and outside cats. Trying to get them to pee where another animal does just heightens their anxiety and just fails nearly every time.Potentially some cats this works with, but others you may have to think outside the box.

Cat Attract made it safe to walk in the laundry room again
We've been happily using the Dr Elsey's Ultra litter for more than 10 years (although I noticed it's gotten a lot dustier in the last year or so). Then last fall, one of our cats started pooping outside the litterbox. I put up a camera to identify the culprit, took her to the vet, and tried everything we could think of. Finally, I tried getting a bunch of the different small bags of the alternative Dr Elsey litters. Low and behold, I stopped finding poop on the floor when I started using the Cat Attract one. I dump a layer on top of the Ultra, and it works great (and it's cheaper than using 100% Cat Attract). I don't know if it's the attraction ingredient or the lower dust or what, but it works great and everyone is happy again!

Finally something that works
Great product. I have two kittens. One of them does his business perfectly fine, but my little girl prefers to poop and wee in the shower tray. We tried everything. Eventually we bought this, it's so expensive, but it does last ages. She still poops in the shower tray, but she now wees in this litter. It clumps very well. It doesn't track too much, but my boy kicks it everywhere.I'd highly recommend giving it a try if you're having problems. We get about a month out of one box for 2 kittens; which I suppose isn't too bad.

I cried with happiness
This product saved me. Our 17 year old cat was not using the litter tray at all, we couldn't cope as due to her liver issues she was having very soft bowel movements - at 3-5am of course - she lives in our bedroom (due to age). After 2 tough years, she is using her tray 90% of the time. It's made a huge impact on our lives, as we were up every night scrubbing the carpets. This product WORKS. I literally don't right reviews but want to scream it from the rooftops about this product. We use a 50/50 mix with her regular clumping litter too, so i think we'll get a fair bit of time from the bag.

Incredible!!!!!!!!!!
Our big older orange cat had completely stopped peeing in the litter box. We helplessly tried absolutely everything we could and he continued to pee on the floor. But we found this litter and happy to say, we're now on our 2nd bag and he hasn't peed on the floor one time! Complete life saver! We cannot give it enough stars!

Aafffter Day 2 it worked.
I had to rewrite my review! For 4 years my 7-year-old tabby has been pooping everywhere every night. Finally this lumping litter attract worked and for the first time I had no poop to clean up. The first night there was one poop to clean up which is usually two or three at least and last night there was none! I hope this keeps upDay 5 and still no poops on floor
