Green Gobbler To The Rescue
I have long hair and even though I'm careful not to let hair go down the drain, hair always ends up clogging the drain until one day, the tub didn't drain at all. A neighbor highly recommended Green Gobbler but it would've taken almost a week to be delivered by Amazon so I got a leading brand product from the grocery store because I didn't want to wait. After doing 5 treatments with the entire bottle of the leading brand which did nothing, I actually made the problem worse when I used a plunger that caused smelly black gunk to come up from the drain and into my tub. Decided to order Green Gobbler and thankfully I only had to wait a few days. I have to admit, I was skeptical that Green Gobbler would even work. But I kept my fingers crossed. By the time the Green Gobbler arrived, the water in my tub had drained enough that I could pour almost all 16 ounces of the recommended amount down my drain. Treatment #1: Poured 16 ounces Green Gobber down the drain. Waited 4 hours. Poured 3 pots of boiling water (approx 3 gallons) down the drain but it all accumulated in my tub. Treatment #2: 6 hours later, the water drained enough so that I could pour another 16 ounces of GG down the drain. Decided to wait 24 hours before I poured another 3 gallons of boiling water down the drain in hopes that the extra hours would help. This time, not only did the water just sit in my tub but black gelatinous gunk came out of the drain. Called Green Gobbler customer service to see if they had any suggestions because I didn't think it was working. The woman who answered the phone said that the black gunk coming out of the drain meant that GG was doing it's job and breaking through the clog. She recommended I run hot water in my tub for 5 minutes even if it meant the tub would fill up some because the water will eventually go down the drain and help GG clear the gunk. She also recommended doing another treatment and if GG didn't work a third time, she said unfortunately, I might have to call a plumber. I did what she suggested and ran hot water for 5 minutes and sure enough the tub filled with water. Checked back 8 hours later and the water had drained. Treatment #3: Poured 16 ounces GG down the drain. Waited 24 hours and then poured 5 gallons boiling water down the drain which immediately accumulated in the tub. Decided to ALSO run the hot water for 5 minutes even though it accumulated in the tub because of what the customer service person said about GG needing water to push the gunk out. Checked back 4.5 hours later and my tub was empty. Ran hot water in the tub and to my surprise, it went straight down the drain - the clog was completely cleared! I couldn't believe it! Green Gobbler actually worked! Even though it took 3 tries with GG it was SO worth it because I saved hundreds of dollars on a plumbing bill. Glad I got the gallon size because now I'll have some at the ready for the next time the tub starts slowly draining!

Seriously Clogged Drain
If you're dealing with a seriously clogged drain—especially one caused by hair, grease, or organic buildup—and want something safe, bleach-free, and straightforward to use, the Green Gobbler Industrial Strength gel is a solid option. It generally delivers impressive results and is friendly on both your plumbing and your nose. However, manage your expectations—it’s not a guaranteed fix in every scenario, and some users may not notice results even after multiple uses. If cost is a concern, it might be worth considering smaller, budget-friendly options or pairing it with preventative maintenance.

Fast and odorless
Works fast and does not have any noxious smells! I have long hair so I have to clear some of that out first as we all should anyway but this does fantastic on any hair I can’t get and any build up in my shower drain.

Be careful with spills or pets nosying around the jug!
I am proud of how this drain cleaner works, green gobbler is better than any other commercial brands! I won't waste a drop of it, I'm not sure if it is safe for hands! Good job!

Always have this on hand. It’s a staple
I always have these on hand. And when I visit my son or nephew, I usually bring them one as well. I had a plumber tell me years ago when I got my first house that liquid plumr and the like will trash your pipes and release toxic gases back up into your home. He suggested this and I’ve never used any other brand since. It’s incredible. There was a renter situation once that brought me to tears. I don’t know what these people were putting down the toilet but I thought we were gonna have to burn it down. I poured a whole gallon in and left and the next day it was a little better. It ultimately took three gallons but we got the main cleared and then we could take the toilet out and demo the bathroom😑the point is: if you use this as soon as your drains start slowing, you will never have clogged drains.

Green Gobbler Liquid - effective short term
I've used other products from the Green Gobbler line in the past but this time, I had a tough clog in my kitchen sink (probably from gelled grease) that had progressively gotten worse. I decided I needed something stronger so decided on liquid for 'tough clogs'. Very easy to use - just pour 16 oz's of the liquid into the drain and left it for about a half an hour. Came back and ran hot water directly into the drain. At first, the water was rising in the sink - I let the water run for about 2 minutes. Then I thought, let me leave this sit for a minute and try again. I didn't wait that long - The second time I ran the hot water, I heard a bit of a noise - like movement had happened and the water ran down the drain as fast as it went in. I'm just hoping that it lasts and stays unclogged. I've used other products - like the well known one in the red jug that you can buy in the grocery store and although it worked, it was temporary. There is very little smell to this product. If it works long term, then it's worth what I spent on it. Edit: been working on this clog in my kitchen since January - it's now mid-March - it would stay clear for awhile but then come back. I dumped the rest of the jug down the sink (there was a lot left) and then dumped steaming hot water down the sink and left it over night. The following morning, a lot had drained out but the clog was still there and the remaining water wasn't moving so continued to dump tea kettles filled with steaming hot water down the sink - I think I'm on number 4. I tried a plunger several times and that doesn't seem to be doing anything. I'll be calling a plumber if I can't get this done today - shouldn't be 'this' difficult. I had this at five stars but dropped down to three because I don't think this really takes care of tough clogs long term.
