Dusk to dawn:)
Wiring was easy and they work great

Simple to use
These switches worked perfectly out of the box and have been in service for two months and so far I have not had any trouble with them. I’m using them in a solar light array and they are carrying about 800 mA of current and are capable up to 5 A.

I wasn’t really expecting much from these based off reviews but they exceeded my expectations. They’re cheap, yes, but they work if you know what you’re doing. I got these to hook up to outdoor lights and everything works flawlessly. After covering with my hand the light turned on after a second or so. It’s very responsive. Installation was very easy if you know what you’re doing. Don’t listen to the bad reviews as these are great for a DIY

Super Sensitive
This does not switch on the circuit until it is very dark outside. When I loosely cover the sensors with my hand during daytime, it does not switch on. It does eventually switch on when it is dark out but I would rather have it switch on at dusk.

Working Better Than Expected
Bought these to turn on a few DC lights on the outside of my off-grid barn at night. I didn't expect these to turn on until well-after dark, but I was pleasantly surprised when it turned on in late evening and off in the morning. I have this unit installed out in the elements. Completely exposed to the outside. I covered everything except the sensor window in silicone. Recommend that when you install, you point the sensor down towards the ground rather than at light.

Did not work.
The circuit was configured and when the +12v was connected (red lead) the lights flickered and went out: since it was daylight. GOOD. Cover the photo transistor... lights still out. BAD

It works as advertised.
This little item just works. Not finicky IME re placement.

Help Me Out!
Got this little guy installed and wired up just fine. In fact, it was pretty much a 1-to-1 replacement for the solar unit already in the lamp post. During testing, the bulb flickered....just like a strobe. I put a finger over the solar and then the bulb glowed just fine. I checked the bulb time and time again - it is fine. Replaced w/ an incandescent and nothing. Using an LED nothing....checked wiring w/ a multi-meter and there is steady current. Ideas??
