The Govee RGBIC Strip Light M1 is cuttable. Please note: 1. Power off the strip light first, and cut along the silver mark. This RGBIC strip only supports being cut to 9.84ft at most and can not be reattached. 2. After reconnecting the power, click the "Refresh Length" function on the device setting page via Govee home app.

Can you buy a diffuser to make these spot free. I’ve bought some from Amazon and you can see every led through the diffuser

I think the best diffuser are the ones that are deep curved. This appears to be the best ones as Govee leds are very bright. The trade off will be 30% percent in brightness. Plus the type of leds will impact on the near flawless no hotspots you are trying to achieve. Check out The hookup channel on YouTube. On channel diffusers.
