The Branston Original Pickle I have in my frig, is made by a subsidiary of Mizkan Euro, Ltd, located in West London, with manufacturing in greater Manchester. Near the end of the ingredient list is "Modified Maize Starch". It doesn't define modified, so I interpret it to mean corn starch, which is a thickener for sauces.
