Small fine for my small hands with gloves but my husband prefers the medium. **Q: The description says lithium ion battery required. What is this for?** A: There are no batteries required this was an error by the listing creator **Q: Can I ask the dimensions of the clip on size small. It’s for a toy poodle so really don’t want a heavy clip.** A: The full silver part of the clip is about 4.5 cm. I wouldn’t say it was particularly heavy or bulky but I use it for a wire haired dachshund and it’s the perfect size for her hope this helps a bit **Q: is there meant to be a loud knock/click sound when the lead becomesn taut? I presume it is the mechanism engaging but it is annoying. Faulty?** A: Hi Thank you for reaching out to us. The noise comes from the mechanisms inside for the Xtreme mode. It has a very robust braking system causing this sound. We hope this helps.
