Secure Attachment via Plastic Clip
seems well made and unlikely to come loose unless intentionally released. YOu can securely clip knife sheath to your PFD if you remove the metal clip, unscrew the single screw on the knife sheath and then slip the plastic backing through your PFD patch.

Great knife great deal.
Perfect! Needed to replace an old river knife that seems to have wound up in my oldest son’s kit. I dive, lifeguard for survival training and paddle and I wanted to buy one knife for all three purposes. Great size. Sharp, fits my gloved or unloved hands with a secure grip. I’ll be adding a second one to my dive box so I can keep the first one on my life jacket.

Excellent paddling knife
Great blade. Lightweight with a really nice sheath that easily attaches to most kayak-style PDF vests. Thankfully, I have not needed to use it in an emergency situation, yet, but it is really nice to know it is securely attached to me if the situation requires it. Sharp edge right out of the box. Don't go paddling without it!

Looks good so far.
I just got this knife but haven't used it on the field yet. My first impressions are that it's a sturdy knife. The sheath seems a little plasticy but the knife clips on firmly and once you figure out the thum release, it's pretty solid. The blade needs sharpening as the edge seemed kinda rounded off, but after a few passes through the sharpener it was good to go. The belt clip attached to the sheath is very tight so I doubt that it'll go anywhere once it's attached to your pfd. Overall I'm satisfied. I hope the blade is resistant to rust but we'll see.

Close to the heart
This knife has become a handy tool on my son's kayak. It has been safe and secure to use due to the knife sheath's locking mechanism, light weight and quality build. He keeps it snug on the left side of his chest for easy access. This sharp blade knife cuts through all his needs and was a good deal for the money.

Case issues and rusts easily
The knife appears to only click in place if the clasp is used. If you plan to remove the clasp and tie it to your leg the knife may slip out. The case needs to be redesigned to work when the clasp is removed. My knife also completed rusted over in three weeks.

Good Rescue Knife
Great knife. Had to replace previous rescue knife as I lost the sheath so can't carry it safely any more. I do Race Committee on San Francisco Bay, working in a 16' RIB in all kinds of weather, wind, and sea-states; and we occasionally have to cut lines, including hi-tech kiting lines. The serrated blade is perfect for that, and it goes through regular synthetic ropes like butter. Good size, fits on my life vest, easy to unsheathe but always feels safe and well-secured.

Fantastic tool
Works perfectly, always available for when I need the different tools that it has available on it. I really like that it is secure in the holster until I need it.

Picked this up to keep on me when I am teaching water rescue. Came quite sharp but a few swipes on a stone and it got up to razor level which either means it is great steel or cheaper soft steel. It seems to have held the edge so it's not super soft. The sheath is solid and keeps the knife in place though the belt clip is a little tight to get onto my leather belt and even onto the pfd straps. But it does cut rope really well and is a quick pull out which is the important part. Thankfully I have not had to use it in a emergency as of yet but it's held up being in fresh water and being dried with a towel with no rust build up. I would not go on a multiday backcountry paddle with it as my only knife but as a paddling emergency knife it does the job.
