I have purchased several models and styles of this type product in an attempt to find ONE suitable product. This is the only one to have survived so far, not to be destroyed either through use or temper. I started with the vent-clip-on models. They all eventually found their way to the landfill. Not all cars have a free cup-holder in such a place as to be appropriate for this particular unit. If at least one cup holder is available in a spot between the seats and is at a relatively low and forward position, this is probably a good choice. Our ML350 has this arrangement. PROs The base expands nicely to accommodate even large cup holders. But one of the best features is the phone clamp itself. I use a phone with an extended battery, meaning the phone is twice as thick as most. This clamp just makes it - which many of the other ones I have tried did not do. Just place the phone in the holder and gently squeeze the sides in, which you can do with one hand after you get used to it. There is plenty of room between the bottom 2 fingers for the power cord. Furthermore, the release mechanism is soft. When the release button is pressed it does not SNAP open like the cheap ones, instead it gently opens in such a way as to give me an expectation this thing might last a while longer. CONs One the CON side - the device is made of plastic and the extension is tall. Although it properly positions the phone for easy viewing, it is tall enough to flex around a bit. This should be expected to a point - it is plastic after all, but I can still follow the GPS screen while in motion. The clamp securely holds the base in place so within the limit of the strength of plastic, you can use the phone in place. Personally I prefer to have the phone up at the vent level for easier viewing on the road, but this is the next best thing as the vent clamp/holders have all been EXTREMELY disappointing. This is a far more secure phone holder IF the inside of your car is arranged to make good use of it.

This phone cup holder does a great job holding your phone for a great price. The design and functionality of the device has been very well mapped. The phone holder does a great and has added options to accept almost all cell phones. The sides expand at the push of a button and can be closed to firmly hold your phone. The sides have a hidden feature, which allows them to slide vertically to accommodate taller phones. There are two feet that swing out to hold the bottom of your phone. Now for the base of the mount, this is where all the magic happens. The first noticeable part of the base is how narrow it is, and will not be able to fit any cup holder. Upon further inspection there is an adjustment gear at the base of the neck that will expand/contract the size of the base to fist almost any cup holder. There exterior of the base is made of a firm rubber, but soft enough not scratch or mar the surface of the cup holder. The top of the neck is where phone holder attaches, be sure to firmly join them together (others have stated this as a weak point, where the two pieces will slide apart I have not found this to be true). This upper socket offers 360 degrees rotation to fit just the right angle. The lower portion of the neck has a socket that offers 180 degree rotation. If you are tired of suction mounted phones holders that bounce all around and fall off when to hot/cold. Give this one a try, you might even love it more than me! First off I gave this a 4 star, the only reason for this is because when you work professionally with an iPad and you do it in a vehicle, you don’t want the iPad movement ng all over when your trying to type. If the neck of the unit was a little bit more sturdy you would get that 5th star. I do worry driving down the road if it will snap when I hit a bump in the road or a pothole. For the most part it adjust fairly easily and has a spring loaded side so you can easily install or remove a pad from its clutches, the cup holder section also does the job but not a way to lock it in place but to this point that has not become an issue. So the neck area so far is the only real weak area that is questionable to me, time will tell if you lose a star, but for the price I am satisfied with the product

Excelente producto, buena calidad, muy practico y ya viene armado. Se adapto facilmente a la consila de mi auto, se ve resustente y el envi fue 8nmediato. Muy recomendable para cuando no tienes donde colocar un porta celular.

Solid. No shaking or falling. Keeps my dash and vents clear. Wish the part with the clip had 360 moveable neck. Now that I think of it, make all the bends 360 ball swivle things with the side screw to secure it at each point. But for what this is. Solid. Even if you roll your vehicle, this thing is snug in the cup holder and has a bit of force holding it in place.

i like overall design, it is very secure. Only thing don't like is it rattles when you don't have a phone mounted in it
