Very young children get a big kick out of pushing the button for music. Our 4 year old granddaughter still loves to use these books, most of which we gave her at one year.

My daughter loves music and loves to sing. This book is so cute and a very simple and easy concept for babies, toddlers and kids to use. Love that the button both turns it on and off. Nursery Rhymes is cute the songs are very appropriate, baa baa black sheep, old mcdonald, row row row the boat, hickory dickory dock, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Twinkle Twinkle little star. We bought this originally for the Itsy Bitsy Spider, but she loves all the songs equally. I have owned their original version, and now have the updated version, which is more colorful, I love the illustrations in both, but the newer version is a little cuter. The lyrics sound clearer in the newer version, the older version seemed to be more of an Australian Accent. It still has an accent but in now clearer. I love it! I love that the songs are sung by children. When my first version stopped working the customer service for Ditty Bird was very fast and immediately sent me a new book. Thank you Ditty Bird for a great product.

Got this as a gift for my nephew who loves birds and loves music, and, unfortunately, they took it out of the plastic wrap and discovered it didn't work but too late for me to return it to Amazon. None of the songs on any of the pages work. They replaced the batteries with brand new ones and it still didn't work. I was initially disappointed because I think my nephew would have loved this book and what we got was basically a regular board book but for 4 times the cost of a normal non/musical board book. So, I posted a negative review. Since it was too late to return the book through Amazon, I contacted the seller, who got back to me right away and was so nice. She not only replaced the broken book but also gave me a second Ditty Bird book of my choice for free. This time I decided to open them and check them before giving them to my nephew and I'm happy to say they do work. And they are so cute! I really think he's going to enjoy them. I got the farm animal sounds book because he loves animals and the nursery rhymes book because he loves music and singing. There are a few different Ditty Bird books in the line- there's something for every youngster. They kind of work like those greeting cards you can get that play a song every time you open the card, except there's a small "button" on every page that you press to hear the song or animal noise. It's a clever idea for baby books and the illustrations are adorable! I don't feel disappointed anymore!

Very good price, arrived on time, My grandson was so happy with this book, his other books didn't have itsy bitsy spider and this book has it on the first page, I also love these books!

These are worth the money. Both boys would sit and just “read/listen” on their own. This has been very helpful when trying to get things done or when bedtime goes on for 500 yrs or a slow wake up morning.

I had initially bought this for my kid as a substitute of watching rhymes on tv and mobile. It worked well, my baby loved it. The only thing to be careful is to use the correct mentioned battery as suggested by them once the current battery dies. The customer support is also great. When the book stopped working even with battery replacement from local shop I wrote email to ditty birds and they gave solution to use good LR1130 AG10 battery. After ordering that battery online it started working again.

Purchased it based on the reviews. But it is not loud enough. Expensive considering it only has 6 short rhymes.

Lo compré para mi hija de 1 año, es un libro de cartón, resistente, que le permite ser autónoma a la hora de poder ir pasando ella misma las páginas. La imágenes son bonitas, con colores llamativos, y con algún que otro detalle pequeño, que va descubriendo cada vez que pasa las páginas del libro. A destacar que en la parte de atrás del libro, hay un pequeño interruptor que permite apagarlo, si hay alguna ocasión en la que sea necesario, para que pueda ser usado como un libro normal, sin música. La único negativo, es que he encontrado después de todo este tiempo usándolo, es que a veces mi hija mete el dedo en el botón que hay en cada una de las páginas para escuchar las canciones e intenta arrancar el cartón... con un de cinta adhesiva, se soluciona fácilmente.

The book itself is nice enough, however, all the tunes are slightly different to the way I learned to sing them, meaning that I'm not too keen on singing along and can see my child getting confused later.

Great book had to buy a second copy as the granddaughter wore the first one out.
