These drums are outstanding. The thin maple shells produce excellent sound. They are well built by a company with a great track record. But don't believe me, read up on the internet. There are a number of reviews available. The only thing you need to add to these drums are good quality Evans or Aquarian heads. Then choose a good snare drum, and cymbals. You will have a great sounding set for a price that working people can afford! These are by far the best drums for the money available.

These drums have a big sound. I put a steve gadd signature snare on it. zildjian cymbals. I've played them for about a year now, and I'm replacing the heads with evans hydraulics, just because I've heard they play and sound better. In retrospect, I should spent just a few more dollars and got the 4 piece kit, with the tom mount on the bass drum. Speaking of the bass drum, 24" sounds like a truck door slamming, just what you want.

The purchase and shipping and receiving was quick and easy. The drums came in Awesome shape even though the box looked a little rough. They do not have a scratch on them. The new drum heads went right on and tuned up beautifully. They look and sound Awesome. Well worth the quick shipping from Amazon

Order this 5 pieces for our church set up and it only came with kick and floor tom. Arrived just one box and not even full 5 pieces. Very disappointed.

You can not beat the value of this kit .I put some Evans batter heads on tuned them up and they sound great. They look great , excellent value

I bought this New Fusion kit in solid yellow as a replacement gigging kit and I have mixed feelings about it. Pros: With good heads, these drums sound fantastic. I've already used them for two recording sessions and numerous gigs and I've gotten rave reviews all around. The yellow color and finish really pops and I couldn't be happier with how they look. Cons: The hardware seems to have been borrowed from the cheaper Export series and does not do this kit many favors. While gigging, the lugs loosen much quicker than other drum sets I've played. I can hear the tuning of the drums change significantly over the course of 15 or 30 minutes. This has never been the case with my other kits. I've even had a lug pop out of the bottom middle rack tom while playing, which in my mind is unacceptable even for a "budget" maple kit. I'm now looking at purchasing lug locks to prevent this. Positioning the rack toms is awkward with the separated tom arms, and it's kind of annoying how you need a drum key to adjust the angles. They do seem rather durable though. Also, the shells are very thin. They're light and easy to carry as a result, but I feel it wouldn't take much to crack them if these drums were used for touring or heavy gigging. I guess the warranty could help? It's rare to find a half-decent maple shell pack for the price, but the cut-rate hardware interferes with the live performance and sound and thus makes it impossible for me to recommend this to a working drummer.

These are beautiful well made high quality drums. I just needed shells to replace 50-year old set of Rogers. I recommend getting tuner, which I have not used in past, but really makes a difference in sound of toms. Probably one of the best values out there for cost.
