Exactly as described, these work fine as intended. I bought them for my factory VW wheels, which have the ball seat but come from the factory with crappy-looking steel bolts and also with these horrible plastic covers which look terrible. I use these without the ugly covers, and they work well with my gunmetal gray wheels. I put these on a wheel, torqued to spec, then drove the car for about a week. I re-torqued them and they didn't need much adjustment. I also unmounted a wheel and inspected the ball seat of the weel and the ball seat of the bolt. They were clearly getting good contact on the entire diameter of the seat, and the wheel didn't show any damage or any suspicious galling from a misshapen ball. Please note that all the bad reviews are from people who received damaged items that had been returned. This is just really the stuqidity of the individual reviewers. You should ALWAYS inspect any package you get from amazon, and if it looks used you should return immediately. You should NEVER buy any product that does not have standard amazon returns. That's just good sense.

Fit like a charm

Wanted to get the bolts that did not need any silly plastic caps (caps need to be removed when torquing the wheels or when to replace the wheels. Loved the finish of these - not sure if it's oxidative, but it held up well to the wrench socket without any scratches or nicks. I also kind of liked the concave face of the bolt. Bottom line - great bolts, easy to work with, and totally the same length/head design as the original ones. Plus - looked excellent with my slate-gray winter rims.

These lug bolts were a perfect fitment on my car. Exactly as specified. I would highly recommend!
