More snug of a fit than the filter that came with the unit, but that just means it seals better. I was a little worried it wouldnt fit in the slot but you just can't slant it into place. Smelled of the interfacing when unwrapped from plastic, which the purifier distributed throughout the bedroom, but dissipated after a day (maybe day and a half?) of use.

Utilizing a filter is essential when operating an air purifier. It greatly enhances its performance compared to lower-cost brands.

The pre filter does not come with this. You just need to wash out the pre filter and reuse it.

I don't buy genuine part in many occasions. Espresso machine, vehicles, computers etc - 3rd parties make very competitive quality. Though, I had to go with the genuine parts for my air purifier. Reason is simple: HEPA filter manufacture is not a cheap factory process. I'd say the air purifier filter quality is directly connected to what you'll experience at your place, worth more investment in it. Also includes two carbon filters (odor filter) which they claim 6 months shelf life, totals 12 months that match with the HEPA filter shelf life.

This filter replacement was n exact fit for our air purifier. It was shipped super fast and was competitive in price to the manufacture website. I notice no noise or smell difference between the original filter when new and this one. I am hoping to get the same quality and timing with this filter as the original.

I sprung for the OEM filter rather than aftermarket because I couldn't figure out if the aftermarket ones were comparible in terms of specifications and quality. It was identical to the filter the unit shipped with.
