Get what you pay for
Incredibly UNDERwelming. Unfortunately I was unsuccessful with this product. Doesn't stand up right no matter how much force I put into it. Ended up taping it to have it lay flat above my screen. Didn't burn my screen. Will be returning

Nice UV light
I ordering this LED UV light for doing cyanotypes and hopefully screen printing in the future. I haven't tested it for screen printing yet, only on cyanotypes as I still had some of the chemicals leftover. So please read this review with that in mind. I can't speak to how it works with exposing the screens as I haven't tried that yet.I love doing cyanotypes but end up putting off doing them because of some reason or another. It's too windy, too late in the day, whatever. The idea of being able to do them when I chose, regardless of weather or time of day is wonderful!First, you're going to probably want to stick to smaller prints, around letter size or smaller. You can turn the light around, support on books (weighing the stand legs down). raise it up higher and expose longer but that takes more fiddling around.I printed my negatives on transparency film and used Arches 300g/m watercolor paper for my positives. I had to experiment with exposure but ended up with some successes before running out of solution. Enough that I've ordered more and am excited to play more.The stand part is sturdy enough. The light works well. The metal frame for the light part isn't the most solid, not sure if that was to keep the weight down or what. The weakest point is the bracket that holds the light and attaches to the stand. That part is easily bent out of shape so be careful. It's "just" sturdy enough to hold the light, not that you need it to hold anything else, but more weight would deform it.At this price point and for a hobbyist this will work fine. Probably wouldn't hold up to daily use and definitely not a commercial environment. For what I want to use it for it's nice.
