These are a simple tool you could make yourself if you owned a lathe and knew the dimensions required so it's kind of a binary prospect whether they're good or not. They're, they work as they should so they're good. Price was reasonable too, cheaper than what I found on the major parts supplier's sites.

good tools for the manual transmission detent job on a ZF 5 speed.

These are a godsend if you are doing shift detent bushings in your ZF trans. The only problem is it’s fairly inefficient for most people to buy these as they probably won’t need them twice. Excellent product and thankful they are very affordable!

They're a one-use tool unless, for some reason, you regularly perform shift pin service. I couldn't find a used set so I bought these new and resold them after I used them. These are easily resold on any active E36 BMW forum.

The punches worked perfectly. Without these tools, the pins would have been much more difficult to set properly.

Expensive for a one-time use tool, but I would not want to try replacing the shift pins and bushings in a ZF transmission without them. They made the job simple and straightforward.
