Importantly, one can't simply read this book and expect to start generating trading profits. Rather, use it as an initial guide to develop your own algorithms or discretionary trading strats. There is no free lunch. Put in the work, enjoy the chase!!

Very practical for commodity analysts
Great book. 1. Explains why positioning analysis provides valuable insights, despite problems such as lagging. 2. Innovative ways of interpreting COT data. Insightful analysis. 3. Tools and visualisation are also thought-provoking for other types of analysis.

I'm in the Quantitative HF business specializing in FICC products and this is a great book. Know damn well your programming, macro econs and data science though if not you'll not get the value out of it

Very useful and unique topic on commodity space detailing about positioning. Must read for all trading and risk management professionals.

As an experienced commodity trader I found this book an excellent addition to my library. The tools and analysis within are practical and intuitive but not so simplistic as to undermine their value to a trader. Often market analysis can miss the point - to make money - the analyses presented here certainly do not and will undoubtedly improve the trading of any reader.

As a commodities analyst working at a financial institution, this book was a great buy. It has introduced me to new analytical frameworks I've incorporated into my day to day and sparked a huge amount of curiosity towards positioning / flow data. Highly recommended.
