Genuine Honda 54110-S2A-003 Change Lever Ball Seat

To begin with, this is a genuine Honda part. You can buy it other places for about the same money but Amazon is just sooo convenient. Rebuilding your shifter on an S2000 is an easy and inexpensive job. Total time of about an hour, depending on how anal you are and a cost of about $20. You basically just need this part and the pivot cover and of course the Honda high temp urea grease. Shifter ball off, yank the console(no screws), two electrical plugs, remove the rubber cover and three bolts later the shifter is in your hand. Clean everything up, replace the parts(you may have to break the old ones), warm up the new parts in hot water and snap them on, pack everything with grease and back together. You will be rewarded with the smoother more precise shifter that you remembered when the car was new. Fewer grinds and missed shifts. Faster and better feeling. All for a little time and a few bucks. Want to take it to the next level? Lube the clutch pivot and throw out bearing with the same grease and bleed the slave cylinder. And the coup de grace? Lube the throttle cable also. After all, the S2000 is all about the driver experience. You can thank me later.

OEM is the way to go. Exact fit no issues

Pretty easy to install. You’ll have to break the original off the shaft in order to remove it. This one snaps on no prob. Made a marginal improvement to shift feel on my 04 s2000 with 115k miles.
