Glassy Gel Top Coat and Base Coat

This base and top coat set works really well. The base coat helps the polish adhere, and the top coat leaves a beautiful, glossy finish that lasts. I've been doing a french type manicure for a few weeks, white/pearly tip. I'm very happy with the base coat and top coat. My nails are growing out well. Mostly, I would say it lasts 2 to 3 weeks. With the French tips I just replace on a nail or two at a time when they need it. The base coat will be a little tacky with 2 minute of curing, but directions say just go ahead, so I do and it works out fine. Mostly, one minutes cures the top coat also. I don't do all that soaking. When I need to fix a nail I carefully peel upwards from the cuticle, then rasp off the top coat of the tip. Leaving the tip in place, I usually can just add a new coat or two of top coat on the whole nail. The base peels off fairly well, without taking a lot of the nail off, so that's working for me. I had one tip break so I added a clear false nail tip under the nail, redid the white pearly tip, then put a base coat on all and a top coat. A couple nails got too long so I use nail clippers to shorten, then shaped with a file, then put a couple layers of top coat ,making sure to go around the cut end of the nail. So far, so good. Enjoying the look now that they have grown out some and I think it will be fairly easy to keep these up.

Excellent base coat, especially for such a low price! I also have a builder gel from the same brand, and they work perfectly together. The application is smooth, the quality is great, and I absolutely love the shine they give my nails. Very happy with this purchase!

I also picked up this glassy gel top and base coat because of my past experience with the brand, but this set did not meet my expectations. It took noticeably longer to cure than a regular UV cycle, which was a bit frustrating when trying to finish a full manicure. Even after curing, the polish was still sticky in spots and I had to go back and cure certain areas again to get a smooth finish. The base coat provided a solid foundation and the top coat added some shine, but the application felt more fussy than I expected. The stickiness after curing made it tricky to get a completely flawless finish, especially if you are layering colors. Overall this set is usable if you are patient and willing to spend a little extra time curing, but it is not as convenient or efficient as other top and base coats I have tried. It does the job in the end, but it is not quite top notch like I had hoped.

I was a little nervous about purchasing this item bc I have only used DnD gel polishes. I absolutely love it. Easy to use, didn’t burn while curing, good thick polish that’s easy to manipulate so any clumping was very minimal . It’s so shiny and cured quickly and evenly.

I’ve been painting gel nails at home for 15 years and have an embarrassingly large collection of brands and colors - this one I’m super happy I found! I used the GAOY base and top coat with this color and this pic is day 8 still wearing well after flying to Chicago for a trip (luggage always causes some nail issue for me). No chips, scratches or breaks & no lifting away from the nail. Great brush and bottle size, great price as well! I’m def going to be buying more colors from this brand.

I’ve started doing my nails at home so I’ve been trying out a ton of products. this is by far the best base + top coat I’ve ever used. easy, super shiny, lasts forever, great consistency.

The base coat is Ok. But the Top Coat makes light And white color Looking yellow. For red its Good it makes long Lasting shine. But it’s not the best of Top coats!
