As he practicing ER Physician, I decided to buy this for my kids to play with. I have stories all the time I share with the kids in regards to placing sutures. The product is really good. It’s tough and strong. Be advised,The needles are very SHARP so you must be careful. The Hemostats, Kelly’s and driver equipment is compatible to what I use in the emergency department to perform sutures. The only drawback is, when you insert the needle, the silicone is a little harder than real life, but that’s expected with an engineering product. You must insert the needle on the suture with mild force. Overall, my girls love it.

I bought this for my daughter. She wants to be a nurse and she's going to school for it so I thought it'd be good. She likes it and I do as well for the fact it's helping her learn BUT first off the scalpel it comes with his no cover. I've sliced my fingers numerous times opening the kit. Second it comes with a few sutures but now we need to buy more and they are not cheap! The "skin" you're using to practice in is very durable and has lasted. The whole kit comes in its own carry case which is a plus except for the fact that the scalpel has no cover. That's really dangerous and if you don't know which I didn't can cause injury which it did. Otherwise this is self explanatory and great for learning. Lots of different cuts to choose from and the "skin" so far has held up from alot of use.

If you are in Medical school about to begin rotations, I highly recommend this Kit. I practice with it and watched YouTube videos that use it. On my first day, I participated in a C-section where I actually used the techniques that I learned to soak and suit of the patient. Surgeon was impressed.

Purchased this as a gift. I love a good deal! Great value for the money. Super durable material and it came with instructions. Kept my inquisitive teenager busy for hours!

The thread is very thin and the silicone easily rips. However you do get a good amount of supplies for the price.
