Works great - handy pressure gauge
Bought this to change oil on my Mk7 GTI - easiest oil change I've done in my life! Worked great. When I was shopping these extractors I did it based on price and features. The thing that attracted me to this one was the handy pressure gauge - let's you know when you can stop pimping and when to give it a couple more. Having always done the crawling under the car and drain plug method for years, this has been a revelation to use - especially as my car also has an easily accessible top mounted oil filter. No leaks or fuss - looking forward to getting a good many uses out of this. Also bought from elsewhere a closed and locking cap you can put on for safe transport of your used oil for disposal - the part isn't available on Amazon but well worth the extra 5 bucks it cost, wish it came standard.

So easy and works great
I just got a chance to use this. I bought it months ago. I was pleasantly amazed at how well it worked to extract the oil from my Yamaha F150 outboard engine. Using the middle size extraction tube placed on the end of the large suction tube/cap assy fit perfectly and was plenty long enough to sit on the ground. No effort at all to do the job. I couldn’t recommend this product more.

Pricey but the quality is apparent and the time saving is real
So far, so good. Seems to be well engineered and of high quality. I removed 5 qts of warm oil from an outboard motor in about a minute with about 6 to 7 pumps. I found the ease of use of my new toy a good excuse for overdue oil change in riding mower and power washer. Much quicker and cleaner than attempting to drain small engines from the oil plug. Once extracted, I brought the whole pump container to the recycling center while sitting in a 5 gallon bucket. To my surprise no oil leaked into the bucket and it was easy to remove the suction tube and dump the used oil thru the large spout. Ive used 12v oil changers in past that broke when I needed them most, leaked all over ir took forever to drain. Finding a 12v source for those was not always easy or convenient and sometimes meant lugging a heavy battery to the equipment. A few pumps with this and the oil is out! 3 different size extraction tubes for most applications. Oversize storage sleeve for these extraction tubes is attached to resevoir. Once you pump the oil out of your equipment, you then insert the extraction tube in this sleeve so it doesnt drip oil all over the place. Clever

Powerful extraction works like a charm!
Very nice Oil extractor will work hot or cold gauge is very helpful just pump it up and walk away when you come back the oil is drained I use it for commercial grade riding mowers. As another person has stated about the blue connectors on the end of the hose I also found them to disconnect but it is really not a problem I would totally recommend this to anyone looking for a good extractor

Great Product
Easy to use and drained the oil through the dipstick easily in my 2002 VW beetle 2L. The VW Bug has a stripped oil drain plug. It was either pay $600 for a new oil pan or use this sweet drain system. Well worth the cost of purchase!

You are not stuck trusting the Grease Monkey. Oil changes are too easy now.
I live in an apartment complex and this thing rules. Even the manager approved. Oil changes are normally not allowed in this complex because of the ramps and what not makes the vehicle look like it's not being used or according to what they say but this is rather clean. I own a 2004 Explorer with the V6 and I need to add that on some vehicles the thin hose does not go all the way past your dipstick tube. I had to remove my tube then cut the end after the O ring that tapers down not allowing the hose to pass. Snipped it off, installation was kind of a pain but once it's on I'm good. Even where my oil filter is I can get from the top of my car and don't need to crawl under. I'm one that does not trust these oil change places. Too much going on when they are busy. Too easy to mess up especially if you are just staring out. That's simply not for me. But with this I can do oil changes far cheaper than having it serviced with conventional oil and I can use synthetic. And I never need to even look for a wrench to unbolt the drain plug or even get under the car. I should have bought this thing YEARS ago. Down the road I may add an oil filter relocation kit to make changes even easier.

Quality tool, faster, easier.
I'm on about my fifth oil extractor in my life. Each one worked, some better or longer than others. The unit under review here is light years better. The extractor hoses connect solidly, the vacuum pump takes very few strokes to come to the correct pressure. And, you know the correct pressure because there is a gauge on the top portion. Easy to clean and empty. Every fall I have to pull 16 quarts out of two Chrysler marine engines and 12 quarts from a Mercedes 12 cylinder. This tool reduced the overall pumping and extraction time by about 75%, compared to the "round ball" cheaper type I was previously using.

very nice suction and has working vacuum gauge.
Bought this because i just bought my wife a new Audi A3. Works very well. Love the vacuum gauge. Gets all the oil out of the engine no problem. Very durable and strong. Also bought the accesories plug so you can just take the complete unit to your local waste oil store and dump it in.
