TENMAT FF109-200 - Downlight Fire Hood for Recessed Lights, Fire and Acoustic Rated Light Cover - 200x200mm

This install was for a sloped extension ceiling in the kitchen. All my downlights are fire rated, but I had a bad condensation problem on the chrome surround of some of the downlights, as it was the kitchen, i dismissed it as just being from cooking, but I wasn't satisfied as i have an extraction hood that is very strong. So I took down one of the lights where condensation was the worse, and found that the builders had cut a far bigger hole than necessary in the 100mm insulation above the fixing, and freezing cold air was above it, whilst warm air below it, creating this moisture strap and condensate on the fixtures. This product was my first ever purchase! Did my research and it came up trumps, with insulating properties, but also had air control via the small holes. Since I installed them over the problem areas, I've had absolutely no issues with condensation on the fixtures whatsoever. So I'm confident they work. I'm thinking of buying more larger ones now for my ceiling speakers, as I noticed some rusting on the back of them too. I'd defo recommend these, for so many reasons, ease of use, thermal properties, fire rated, and building Regs Certified. Excellent product.
