These Steri-Strips do exactly what they’re supposed to — and they do it well. I’ve used them a few times on small cuts that needed more than a bandage but weren’t quite bad enough for stitches, and they held everything together securely. They’re super lightweight and breathable, but still stick well (as long as the skin is clean and dry). No irritation, no peeling up after a few hours. I’ve even worn them overnight without them budging. They’re also the kind you’ll often see in hospitals — so getting a pack to keep at home feels like a smart move. Bonus: they’re easy to apply and don’t tug painfully when it’s time to remove them. If you deal with scrapes, post-suture care, or just want something reliable in your first aid kit, these are a quiet essential.

Perfect for my grandmother with VERY thin skin. She is 98 years old and often gets skin tears. Her skin is so fragile, we joke that you can look at her skin and it will tear. We have a wound care protocol for her round the clock caregivers. These bandages work well to stablize the tear and then we add a non adhesive pad over it and then use latex free vet wrap.

I’ve used Nexcare Steri-Strip Wound Closures a few times now for small but deep cuts that didn't quite require a trip to the ER for stitches. These are the same type of strips used in hospitals, and they do an incredible job of pulling the skin together to help it heal with minimal scarring. Why I gave it 4 stars: My only real complaint—and it’s a big one if you're active—is that I wish they were waterproof. The adhesive is very strong on dry skin, but the moment they get even slightly damp (like from washing your hands or a quick shower), they start to peel and lose their tension. You really have to be careful to keep the area bone-dry or cover them with a secondary waterproof dressing. The Highlights: Breathable Design: Unlike some plastic bandages, these are made of a porous material that lets the skin "breathe," which I think helps the wound stay healthy while it's closed. Firm Hold: When applied to clean, dry skin, the tension is impressive. They hold small wounds firmly closed and don't stretch out over time. Less Irritating: I have somewhat sensitive skin, and these didn't leave that itchy, red rectangular mark that cheaper bandages often do. Great for First Aid Kits: This is a "must-have" for a home kit. They are much more effective at closing a gap than a standard band-aid. The Verdict: If you need to keep a small wound closed and want a clean heal, Steri-Strips are the gold standard. Just be prepared to keep them away from water or use a waterproof cover-up!

They are much longer than I expected but you can cut them shorter if need be. They come in sealed bags for sterilization. Must have in first aid kit.
