Q: Will this cooler fit with teamgroup t-force xtreem arg if i put the fan on top

My fan is on top. Make sure it is blowing thru the cooler for the best temp reduction. Not the best setup but gets the job done. Do not over-clock you CPU .

Q: Dose anyone know what kind of temps one could expect pairing this with a ryzen 5 2600 would this be adequate for cooling?

The best way to check is to see the CPU Comparability List at the Noctua website for this cooler: https://noctua.at/en/nh-l12s/cpucomp. For the Ryzen 5 2600 there is a caveat that it has "low turbo/overclocking headroom". FYI, on the 1600X the caveat is "compatible without turbo/overclocking headroom". The footnote for the Core i7-8700 is the same as that of the 1600X. I am looking at this cooler solution for both the 1600 and the 1600X (different systems) as I am downsizing from a larger Fractal Design Define R series case and massive Noctua NH-D14 but may have to rethink the strategy. Massive coolers in massive cases have an advantage over smaller coolers in smaller cases.
