It only operates under AT&T are Verizon no other Netwerk will work you can get a nighthawk that is open to other networks but that isn’t the real problem. The problem lies that it will only work if you buy it from that net work I had one that was locked send it back and got one that was unlocked, but it wouldn’t work because AT&T wouldn’t activate it because I didn’t buy it from AT&T and if you did get it open, the cost is really bad you get so many gigs at a certain price after that time is up you get charged at a ridiculous rate every 10 minutes you can spend $1000 or more a month doesn’t really make sense I sent both of mine back **Q: Is the ethernet port for input or output?** A: Ethernet port is for both input and output...only 1GB when attached to USB to AC adapter with battery in the hotspot....goes up to 10GB when battery is removed and powered solely by USB to AC adapter **Q: Is this unlocked and can this be used on any carrier?** A: The unit I received is unlocked and I have used an att similar card & mint mobile Sim. Both Sim cards worked, however, the router will not connect to true 5G mobile...att only connected to 5Ge which is actually att upgrade 4gLte network they marketed as 5Ge prior to deploying real 5G. Mint connected to 4Glte. This device should work with any carrier that use GSM Sim cards.... **Q: Can the battery stay inside of the mobile hotspot router while it is plugged in? I would be using on travel and would want to have the battery.** A: Yes. ## Frequently Bought Together - NETGEAR Nighthawk M6 Pro, 5G and 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot Router with 2.8 inch Touchscreen, Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6E, up to 32-Devices (AT&T Unlocked For Global, Verizon, T-Mobile) MR6500 (Black) (Renewed) - NETGEAR Omnidirectional MIMO Antenna (6000451) - Boosts Performance of Internal Antennas, Compatible with M5 (MR5200) & M6 (MR6150 & MR6550) Hotspot Routers, Includes 2 TS-9 and 2 SMA Connectors - Hard Travel Router Case for NETGEAR Nighthawk M7 M5 M6 Pro 5G Mobile Hotspot with WiFi 6 (MR5200, MR5100)/ M1 Mobile Hotspot 4G LTE Router MR1100 (Box Only) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.is/products/471936546-nighthawk-m6-pro-5g-and-4g-lte-mobile-hotspot-router](https://www.desertcart.is/products/471936546-nighthawk-m6-pro-5g-and-4g-lte-mobile-hotspot-router) --- *Product available on Desertcart Iceland* *Store origin: IS* *Last updated: 2026-11-06*
