HEADS UP!!! Do some extra research before you purchase.
Quality part but as always you can not rely on Amazon "fit" recommendations on ANY part 100%. Amazon is correct most of the time but take the time to double check EVERY part you order from amazon. Excluding the obvious wiper blades, oil/air filters and such. This coil DOES FIT A 2005 BMW Z4 even though Amazon disagrees. I purchased one of these over a year ago as only one cylinder was misfiring. Worked perfect and the job was completed in a flash. At that time Amazons fitment suggested the part was a fit for my z4. Recently another coil went bad so I went to reorder and... Oh no "this part does not fit your 2005 bmw z4. what? did i install the wrong coil last time? Although the coils Amazon does recommend for your particular car may or may not do the job I contacted several BMW dealerships and oem parts retailers and confirmed that this IS the LATEST GREATEST coil for our 2005 bmw z4. You will find that the original coil has been discontinued and several have taken its place over the years. Double checking part fitment prior to ordering through Amazon has saved me tons of aggravation and due to the fact Amazon is usually the least expensive it has been worth the extra effort to confirm the parts. Hope this saves you a headache from ordering the wrong part. If you dont already know? This is a super easy repair job to install these and will save you hundreds in literally "minutes".

BMW 335i N54 OWNERS REJOICE AND SAVE $38+TAX ON EACH COIL PACK
Same Part # as the BMW ones printed right on the Coil Packs! Save yourself $38 + tax off the quoted $68 stealership price and buy these instead. Had the COBB Stage 1+FMIC tune on the car and had to take it off due to misfires & SES light coming on regularly. Did walnut shell blasting, valve cover gasket replacement with RB N54 PCV Valve upgrade installation plus new spark plugs which resolved this, but only for about 5k miles. After experiencing a misfire on cylinder 6 that would not go away after clearing the codes off the ECU and requiring a tow truck ride back to the house I swapped out an old coil pack on cylinder 6 with one I replaced on cylinder 1 due to misfires under WOT when tuned. This got me back in the daily driving game but I now knew that my 2008 335i E93 with 118k miles on it needed all new coil packs. Quote at the stealership was $68 + tax, so buying these at $30/ea saved me approximately $43.34 each. That's better than BOGO. Same item, same part number, identical look and feel, genuine BOSCH coil packs. The only difference is the box they come in (BOSCH vs BMW label) and the fact that nobody spent the time to trim some super-thin plastic from some of the edges of these BOSCH coil packs, like where the plastic was removed from a mold. Very thin, very short stuff I'm talking about so it is nothing of concern, but I suspect BMW makes BOSCH polish these guys to perfection before stamping BMW on them. Car is now tuned back and is flying down the roadways. Took approximately 40 minutes to do the swap on all cylinders with some experience taking off the cabin air filter tray and engine cowl, including farting around gathering tools and setting up a workbench next to the car. It can be done in half that time if you do this kind of thing everyday and your tools are at the ready.

Easy to Install and Cleared Misfire Error Code
I had a P0301 "Cylinder 1 Misfire Detected" code and "Service Engine Soon" light pop up on my 2006 BMW Z4 3.0si recently. The most likely problem for this error code is a bad ignition coil. The cylinder numbering on the inline six-cylinder engine starts with #1 at the front of the engine/car and ends with #6 at the back of the engine. This Bosch 0221504470 ignition coil has the notch in the center of the electric connector, which is what my existing ignition coil has. My understanding is that this coil is for cars manufactured after 04/2006. For good measure, I checked the sticker on my driver's door and confirmed that my car was manufactured in 06/2006. Before 04/2006, the ignition coil apparently has the notch offset from center, which is a different part number than this. replacement is easy, even if you're not mechanically inclined. Simply flip up the lock on top of the ignition coil, pull out the electric connector. Pull the ignition coil up and out. Push the new coil down into the cylinder firmly. Plug in the electrical connector while pushing the lock down (you may or may not hear a click), and you're done. The car stopped misfiring and the "Service Engine Soon" light went off after two days.

Appears to be genuine Bosch, but fails product check
OEM-like fitment and fantastic price. Perhaps too good to be true though: item appears to be genuine, and has a Bosch product sticker on it. But when typing the code in to protectbosch.com, the code is not recognized (hence the 4 starts on the overall rating). I still ordered another one because at this price, it's worth keeping a spare in the trunk since my 3 of my original coils have failed at almost 150,000 miles.

BMW 328i N52 2010 runs like a boss with this OE coil
Did the trick, 2010 BMW 328i was shaking and hesitating, and the code said it was misfiring in Cylinder 3, whipped the cylinder 3 coil out, and put it in cylinder 2. Put it together and it says 2 and 3 are misfiring, and cylinder 1 is a pending ... ordered this and decided something fishy was going on with my ecu and it didn't sound like 2-3 cylinder misfiring ... got the one day shipping for only $4 more with prime ... next day it said it was just misfiring from cylinder 2 so I was happy I had ordered this as it suggested the coil was the culprit. This was with me before lunch and had got it in. Pushed the connector in, pushed the cap down and pushed the coil in to seat it properly, Remember to push down twist a few times, and push down again as I thought it was seated fully then it gave a bit more. Car runs like new again ... pleased I could just get the one, will get another and keep it on hand. Edit : Another coil failed a week later, then another 2 a month later (now) so just buying another 4 now in preparation of the inevitable Edt 2: Just replaced all coils now, and the car idles smoothly now and purrrs .... loverly

Should have gone with them first
Had to order this unit because I broke one of the six I ordered in the first order this is a much better looking part and fits better over the spark plug. Other unit was softer and air tight sealed over plug so when I tried to remove it to make sure everything was going like it should the outer casing ripped. This unit is a better stiffer casing over the plug much more like the OEM units. Recommend this and will be buying this brand for my other BMW

Engine Runs Smoother with Original 200K Miles Coils
I can't tell you how shocked (no pun intended) and disappointed I was in the perfomance of these coils. I have a 2008 BMW 528i that misses a little bit at around 75 MPH. I got the wise idea of buying two of these Bosch coils and replacing the originals, two at at time, until I eliminated the miss. The coils take about 5 minutes to install (actually less), but when I started the car, it hardly idled. I replaced the original coils, restarted the car, and it idled as smooth as silk. Thinking that one of the new coils might be bad, I replaced just one of the originals with a new coil. Bad idle. Then I replaced it with the other new coil. Bad idle. I have never, ever, ever, had a problem with Bosch, and can scarcely believe what just transpired. They just flat didn't work in my 528i. Oh! By the way, they did fit perfectly.

Quick fix for a misfire in my '12 X6M
I have the Carly reader/app on my iPhone (highly suggest getting this setup) and when my car went into reduced power mode I did a quick scan. I also noticed it was idling rough. Turns out I had a misfire in cylinder #8 (against firewall, driver's side). 1-4 are front to back passenger side, 5-8 are front to back driver's side FYI. I was due for plugs, so I changed those and in the process swapped the coils in #5 and #8 as #5 is very easy to get to without taking anything off. Started the car back up and now #5 was misfiring. This is the easiest way to test these coils. Ordered this on Amazon, got it next day, swapped out the bad #5 coil and now I'm running perfectly again. $25 on here, $70 at autozone and $120 at the dealer. No brainer. Ordering 1 more to have on hand as these coils are known to just die randomly. This coil should work for a wide range of BMWs, if you're reading this now you've likely done your homework.
