Works As Described. Was the perfect tool for packing bearings on my trailer’s three 6,000# axels. Did 12 bearings as good as could be expected. Lucas marine grease was used.

1st time user of a bearing packer & it worked very well, the components feel stout & I was fairly easily able to pack 4 wheel bearings. The amount of grease necessary to do so seemed to be much less than if you were to pack by hand; much more efficient.

Just as good as the one I bought from the tool truck thirty years ago.

This is a great time saving tool when packing bearings. However, I replace mine every 2-3 years. I’m an aircraft mechanic and have noticed that the plastic case will begin to “spider-web” and breakdown. The plastic will break off and contaminate the grease. Potentially, contaminating the bearings. The “spider-webbing happens long before the potential contamination. Once you see the “spider-webbing”. Throw it in the trash. It’s inconvenient. Still worth the 20-30 bucks for the hassle it saves me for a couple of years of use.

Bought this to replace one I’ve had over twenty years. It worked great one time. The second bearing I tried to pack the entire threaded knob on top snapped off.
