I think it's the best sleep mask yet
Great sleep , and surprisingly helped dampen noise. my bedroom window is east facing and the morning sun easily wakes me up and not only that my cats beg and scratch my door every morning. I was able to ignore their cries ๐ and I didn't even notice the sun went up. The difference was actually blinding when I took it off. I generally sleep on my back so it didn't fall off and even when I moved to the side adjusting the mask was seamless in comparison to adjusting an elastic sleep mask. one side is smooth and cooler and the other is still soft but warmer. i was surprised to realize it's weighted with beads sectioned in 4 mounds, which I think is the reason why it rests on the eyes without slipping off. i loo forward to taking naps with it too almost like when you cover your eyes with a blanket without covering your breathing. I think the texture of the beads could improve poo

Buy it! You wonโt regret it
I recommend a nodpod to anyone that will listen! I think the weight of this sleep mask is just right, and personally I love that itโs intended to come off once youโve fallen asleep and rolled over or whatnot. I couldnโt use other sleep masks because Iโd feel kind of claustrophobic with it wrapped all the way around my head and this takes care of that! I also really like the silk option; itโs got a cooling quality to it and seems to be holding up well! I wash mine on delicate and lay it out to air dry. As far as my sleep itself, I feel like I fall asleep easier and tend to feel more rested. Genuinely love this thing and intend to give everyone I know one for Christmas this year lol

A MUST HAVE
This is so unlike any other mask on the market. It doesnโt feel like a mask but a delicious buttery warmth on your eyes that blocks out light. No constriction around your head. It serves its purpose with a gentle, delicate and relaxing feeling. I tried other masks that made me feel like I was at a masquerade party. This is so soft and luxurious. Iโm over the moon about this product and am grateful to the geniuses that designed it. Worth every penny.

Absolutely worth it
LOVE the nod pod. I got one for my husband for his birthday, he loved it so much I got one for myself. I've never been able to wear a sleep mask, too hot or too uncomfortable. The nod pod is life changing. Blocks out light and has a cool/warm side so you're always comfortable. It's just the right amount of pressure and helps put me right to bed. You can wear it as a mask or just lay it across your face so you have many options to make it the right fit for you.

Comfy, at least at the beginning of the night
I have way too many eye masks for sleep. I started wearing one a few years ago out of necessity (east-facing bedroom, narcolepsy naps during the day) and now canโt fall asleep without one. โThe ideal eye mask for sleepingโ doesnโt seem to exist, so Iโm always on the lookout for masks that are: - a comfy material - light-blocking - side sleeper friendly - machine-washable - weighted is nice but not necessary - not too tight around my head - quiet (e.g. no Velcro) - not too ridiculous-looking - minimal bulk My collection is primarily made up of those polyester satin ones with the elastic band, as theyโre cheap and easy to get in multipacks for when the elastic eventually gets too loose. That said, I prefer a bit more weight against my eyelids, but itโs hard to find weighted ones that are machine washable โ not to mention not overstuffed or scented. Nodpod checks a lot of boxes for me: weighted, machine washable, nice-looking, unique design, unlikely to get lost in the void, comfy material, light-blocking (kind of)โฆ Iโll admit the marketing is effective, making nodpod look like a really chic, name-brand item that many people use & like more than random-no-name-brand masks. It has a price tag to match, which is a little unfortunate ($38 for the cotton one at time of writing). But this is justified enough by the lack of common points of failure (e.g. elastic, poor stitching), as well as being unlikely to lose/should last a while. Nodpod in practice: Comfort: The pockets full of polypropylene beads are a nice weight (not too bulky/overstuffed), perfectly eye-socket-shaped (lol), both the minky side & jersey side feel nice against my skin, and thereโs no smell. Light blocking: Bone White looks nice on the bed/from the outside, but the cream colored fabric and clear beads let light in, so if your main need is to block out light, GET A DARKER COLOR! Fit: Technically there is a hole on one end through which the fabric on the other can be shoved to form a sort of โloose halo.โ This feature only really seems to be advertised for use while sitting upright (e.gโฆ during meditation? Or maybe for vampires?), as it is not comfortable to use this way lying down. Your head will either rest on the lumpy weighted pockets or the lumpy buttonhole with fabric jammed through it, regardless of sleeping position. I canโt imagine using it sitting up either, at least not with a skull as small as mine, as it doesnโt sit tight enough. The lack of any sort of attachment (e.g. elastic, button, Velcro, etc.) is what sets it apart, really. If you donโt want to have/need a band around your head keeping an eye mask in place the entire night, this might work well for you. I donโt move around THAT much in my sleep โ I might roll over once or twice, or wake up having shifted from my side to my back โ but canโt figure out how anyone else gets it to keep their eyes covered all night, unless yโall are consciously placing it over your eyes again every time you rearrange. For me, it just slides off. This is fine for the most part โ if Iโm fully asleep, wonโt care whether I have an eye mask on, so if it ends up next to my pillow by the morning, whatever. However, the biggest problem here took me by surprise (and is quite big): having followed gravity off my face & pillow, the nodpod often ends up draped over my throat by the time I wake up. This seems sort of hazardous, noโฆ? Itโs not heavy enough to choke, but it is not so light that this doesnโt matter. It would be a solid 5-star product if there was some optional way to keep it secure, like an elastic tie at the very least, and more opaque fabric used for the lighter colors. Ultimately, Iโm back and forth about whether or not to return it. I think whether or not itโll work for you is super dependent on your sleeping habits. Updated a couple months later from 3 to 4 stars. Review is the same otherwise, but now I canโt sleep without it. Oops

Weighted Comfortable Eye Mask. It works!
This loose mask gives the right amount of weight and light blocking to sleep well. I recently had a medical event that limited me to sleeping in a recliner in the living room. Different room. Different lighting. Different noises. Good luck finding any sleep! But this mask truly helps. I don't know why, but it's comforting and calming. I can't really sleep without it. Try one. It really works!

Not what the hype has you believe
I rarely go so low as a three star, but I remember last year, in โ23 coming across this new fandangle contraption that was supposed stay on my eyes as I sleep on my side. I am a wide sleeper, I sleep side, back, stomach, and side again. I rarely sleep in one position for too long. So the idea of it being weighted to help it โstay in place,โ wellโฆ how can it be? Gravity would have to play a hand at this while Iโm tossing and turned. But the reviews at the time all were great, and saying it does what it says. So shoot! Maybe it DOES work, so like Jack trading the cow for the beans, I bought the mask! The first few nights were that โhoneymoon phaseโ where we ALL convince ourselves โit will all work out!โ Or โthis is great!โ But, over the weeks, it just became annoying that Iโd wake in the night having to find it, flap it BACK on my face and then go BACK to sleep because with weight such as it is, you grow used to that change in weight on your body, and wake trying to put right the difference. After a few months of THAT annoyance I discovered its โglory hole.โ And shoved the one end into the tiny, and I DO MEAN TINY hole on the other end. There is VERY little wiggle room to allow for the mask to come in and out of that hole without allowing for it to end up stretching that hole, so I left it in the hole for a long duration of time. Pulling it as loose as I could, and then at night, tightening it by pulling the one end towards the other. But, I began to feel VERY overwhelmed by the weight of the mask on my eyes. Having covid it made my whole bodyโs nervous system become very heightened and alert of anything uncomfortable. Even slightly so, itโs grown VERY annoying as the little things I DID enjoy in life, suddenly became a MASSIVE uncomfortable thing to have on my body. Jewelry, never worn anymore, and I loved my earrings. But, THAT, is not what my review is about. So, because of that overly tight feeling around my head, and the weight on my face, I ripped it out of the hole. Iโd gone back to try and have it laying flat on my face. But again it was that same problem of just sliding off in the night and not staying in place as I moved. Iโve given it another way of wearing it nowadays. I tie it like Ralph Macchio in the Karate Kid with his head piece. But, I try NOT to try too tie or too close to the head as the weight resting on my eyes is NOT a comfort for me as it might have been. Itโs grown very heavy. Itโs very intrusive and can be hard to fall asleep with sometimes because of that weight just LAYING THERE ON my EYES! I sometimes ask myself WHY I thought it was a good idea to torture myself like this!? I have used MANY other sleeping masks over the years as I find it hard to sleep with even the FAINTEST of lights. I was a kid who shared a room with a sister who needed the TV on, needless to say, *I* got to know the Chris Farley years BETTER then I did whoever was on in the current years, which, honestly, might have STILL been Farley! But back then theyโd play SNL at 11 or whenever, and then again an hour and a half later. And *I* was awake for BOTH! I canโt sleep with nose or lights. So, as an adult, I KNOW how I can have control over these shortcomings. And I plug my ears with silicone and my eyes with a mask. But the others, elastic around the head wears out over time, making it looser and easier to fall off. The pillowing pad of the lining wears down to nothing almost, and it leaves you with not much of anything. If theyโre designed on one side, it makes cleaning it, a nightmare! So make sure to wash off make up before sleep! So all of these things about the sleep pod seemed like it was checking OFF these problems. But, in time, it created its OWN problems. I canโt say, โdonโt buy!โ Or, โthis is a waste of money!โ Simply putting, THESE are MY experiences with this mask. And after finding so MANY articles on Buzz Feed TELLING people that they NEED to buy this, that it IS a MUST for sleeping. I decided that *I* needed to write a review. Because BuzzFeed has it SO WRONG! I would NOT call this a โMUST.โ Iโd call this an โexperimentโ in your sleeping adventures. As I donโt know if we ever really WILL find the โPerfectโ sleeping companion. AND, what is right for ONE person, does NOT make it right for others. So, I JUST want to help other side sleepers who move back and forth to back, that itโs NOT effective at staying in place. And itโs not a good value, and honestly, I think it DID have a weird smell to it when I first bought it that I had to push through. I am having to do that NOW with a massage pad. It sucks how things that are MEANT to be โaidingโ and โrelaxingโ can have SUCH unpleasantnesses to have to work through. So this WHOLE REVIEW is a shout out to us with sensory challenges, with sleeping peculiarity, and those who just are who they are. I HOPE this was helpful to you before you buy this mask. While this one ISNโT THAT expensive, itโs STILL $35 for A SLEEPING MASK! But worst still, they have a satin one, and THAT ONE is $65! And one of the things it tones is helping with fine lines. Which to ME is laughable as it looks like it has a different inner fabric like my velvety pod. So, HOW is that helping with the fine lines? I donโt know. I find SO MANY *BIG* promises from A LOT of products on here, and then I get it, and they fall short. They are like Bart who orders that film cell of Itchy, only to receive a PART of his arm! Thatโs how careful we have to be with the products we buy. And why Iโve grown VERY careful with my reviews AND READING them! Because returns are NEVER fun! So I DO hope that this helps you guys in making an informed decision. That said, after ONE YEAR, itโs still in โnew shape,โ so for THAT, I give it the higher rating. Because I donโt know WHEN Iโll have to replace it. But, IF this was one with elastic, itโd already have had to be replaced twice over.

Obnoxiously worth it.
I love sleep masks but have never been In Love with a sleep mask. The closest I've gotten was one I picked up from TJMax. It was the typical design, except the mask itself opened and houses a weighted, scented, satchel--heavier than nodpod--meant to be removed to heat up in the microwave. I thought I could fall in love with that one, but the seams kept splitting open and the scented beads would be all over the place by the morning. Heartbreaking. But NODPOD. Nodpod is different. Yes, it feels too light to be true. Yes, you might be questioning the design and if it will stay put over night. But you'll be pleasantly surprised. Im 23 weeks pregnant and have been SUFFERING through side sleep as a natural stomach sleeper. Nodpod has helped with that so much. The button hole meant to slide one side thru the other for "upright" sleep works for laying down sleep as well, including side sleepers. Nodpod suggests just using the last two of the four pods for side sleep, but if you toss and turn naturally--or have big ass ears that get folded on themselves and cause sensory issues (not that I would know...just if you do...)--the design to keep Nodpod secure in place has got you covered, consistently, no matter your sleeping position. As well as your ears pinned in place, need be. The material is soft and cozy, but won't make you feel overheated or sweaty. And although she be light-weighted, she be fierce: Nodpod has truly turned out to be the perfect amount of eye pressure. It also blocks all light. Ican finally sleep through my husband's pre-sleep doom scrolling instead of laying awake in agitated pregnancy hormone rage from the blue light reflecting off the walls even though his phone settings are as low as they can go with the screen "Night Light" setting on (blessed are not only the pregnant, but also the patient and kind partners of the pregnant๐๐ป๐๐ป). I used to lay awake until 4am tossing and turning. In pitch black, for roughly five hours, until I fell asleep. Then I'd wake up as late as I possibly could and STILL felt exhausted the next morning. Now I'm out in literal minutes, wake up annoyed to have to leave bed, but refreshed and much more tolerable. All thanks to Nodpod, my beloved. 100/10 do recommend.

Soft, good weight, great for side sleepers
As a side sleeper this has been a game changer for me, I no longer need to use blockout blinds. Nice and soft, it does slide off but I just put it back on.

Calming weighted sleep mask
I absolutely love the Nodpod weighted sleep mask! Itโs super comfortable and really helps me relax at night. The gentle pressure feels so calming, and it blocks out light perfectly without feeling tight or bulky. I also love that it has a warm side and a cool side depending on what I need. It stays in place really well, and Iโve definitely been sleeping better since I started using it. Total game changer for my nighttime routine!

Best product purchase ever but wish I got a darker colour. White lets too much light through.
