Cleveland Abduction is the incredible true story of Michelle Knight, a 21-year-old single mother whose life was irrevocably changed by a chance encounter with a madman. Review: HEARTBREAKING STORY - CLEVELAND ABDUCTION This Lifetime made for TV movie is based on the real life abductions of Michelle Knight [whose book this film is based on to be exact], Amanda Berry, and Gina DeJesus. This story is heartbreaking and just seeing this movie makes you feel sick knowing that it actually happened. I remember when they were rescued as it was all over the news so I was really interested when thus movie was announced. I was not disappointed at all and even bough the DVD. The movie follows Michelle Knight as she is having problems finding a job and trying to get her son back from CPS. It is on her why to court about that situation when she accepts a ride from Ariel Castro. That led to her 10 to 11 year captivity at Ariel's hands, though sadly two other girls would soon join her. Amanda and Gina would soon be kidnapped by Ariel as well with all three women serving as his slaves, with two becoming pregnant. Amanda was allowed to keep hers while Ariel did not want to father one with Michelle, extremely sad. These girls would grow up together with the two younger ones leaning a little more on Michelle. They would eventually be rescued as neighbors heard them yelling for help at the front door after Ariel had accidently left it semi open. The full story is absolutely heartbreaking and I do recommend reading the books about this case including Michelle's as this film was based on her book. Ariel would be convicted on multiple charges and would kill himself a month into his sentence. Michelle would keep herself alive to one day see her son again, that ending is possibly the most sad thing about her story. The film was directed by Alex Kalymnios who has directed a lot of TV, I think she should get a shot at a theatrical film. The book was adapted by Stephen Tolkin who has written a lot of TV himself including a show I loved called "Legend of The Seeker". Now while both of those people did a great job I really want to praise the acting here. Taryn Manning is excellent as Michelle, she really deserved an award for this film. Most people know her for "Orange is The New Black" in which she was my favorite thing about that show. Here she really showcases her skills going from victim to motherly shoulder to survivor. Also Raymond Cruz is superb as Ariel giving a very villainous performance including moments that showcases this guy thinking he is doing these girls a favor, like giving them a TV. The other two girls and the officer who works with Michelle after the rescue are excellent as well. But the first half of the film is dominated by Taryn and Raymond as she was the first victim, and also based on her book. Sadly only so much of the story can be told within a made for TV movie, but all the major points were hit and done very well. Highly recommended. Review: Heartbreaking but good - Such a good movie, but at the same time so heart breaking and I feel for the victims.

Strong women
This was hard to watch but a must watch as these women deserve for their stories to be heard and told and what they went through is truly heartbreaking and the strength they somehow are able to have after all they went through is beyond comprehension but they are absolutely incredible and strong and I would love to just have the chance to shake their hands and see such strength face to face. Bravo girls!

One from Michelle and One from Amanda and Gina I do feel Like some things were true and others were added
After reading Two books, One from Michelle and One from Amanda and Gina I do feel Like some things were true and others were added. It was not identical to the books which is fine, the whole point of the cover is that its BASED ON a true story. Their were many truths in the movie, Amanda did Deliver her baby in a Plastic swimming Pool on Christmas, Michelle very Much Did Do CPR. The Barbell Thing did Happen. Some scenes Were modified and added but all in all this was a very hard movie to watch and after reading both memoirs it did include key things from both Parties. Amanda was Kept mostly seperate in the other room as the movie showed, they could only fit so much story into one movie so I understand why the first half of the movie was focused intently on Michelle and her Character, this movie its based off of strictly her Memoir so that makes sense. Was a good movie, Stuck to the story and I think at many parts gives you a horrible visuel image of the life michelle had to live through, I plan to read her other book A life after Darkness Soon, It will describe how she finds her happy ending, She is currently married to her sweet heart and lives a Life fo adventure and happiness. There was a 5 years Later interveiw with Michelle About two months ago i think and just knowing she is okay in real life makes these things easier to read and watch, Its very amazing that she made it out of this alive and continues to live her best, Gina and Amanda Did cut off Most contact but i appreciate their little check in on them at the end of the movie.Their was not spite between them from what i read in the books and they all have moved on with their lives. My interest in this story was a bit random and finding all the different version of it has been interesting. Different viewpoints, new facts, new imagery. This case was Truely gruesome but They came out strong. To the Actor who Played Castro Very amazing performance, In the trivia if you click on the arrow at the side of the movie it did state when the real Michelle knight was on set he was so Similar to Castro in Face and body that at first she was waay to scared to be near him but eventually they formed a friendship. Its good to know she can make male friends and has moved on, All in All the movie had a nice ending. By reading Michelle Book Life after Darkness Ill get the final ending of her current life and her battle, I look forward to ending this Journey on a good note.
