This kit worked great for me. My Dad's 23 year old Kenmore fridge quit making cold air, found out that the compressor wasn't running. It shared the same power going to the fans near it that were running, so the starter on the side of the compressor had voltage, and the overload contact was okay, but wouldn't run the compressor. Ordered this kit from Amazon and it came with simple instructions. Had the fridge back up and running in about 15 minutes. I'd highly recommend it.

I was ready to put our freezer on the curb. It's an older model, plain Jane, Kenmore freezer, most likely made by Whirlpool or Frigidaire. Anyway the start relay was no longer available an no replacement part fit. After doing a little research I found this part, it worked like a charm, and the price was reasonable. It replaces the starting capacitor and the start relay. Yea, five stars all the way.

Works good,. Kicks starts an old compressor when it stops getting cold. I've bought these several times over the years. They usually last about 3 years, then I replace and keep going.

I did not see any mention of overload protection in the product description. The label on the package clearly states that this device requires an external overload protector. This is needed for the fridge I am repairing. So returned w/o opening. The original starter had overload protection built in.

Quickly fixed a dead freezer. My 7 cu foot was DOA. It was made in 2002, so parts were not available. This product came up all over the Internet. The price was shockingly low, so it was a "Go." It took about 30 minutes to figure out the wiring and install. On first power up, the compressor kicked in and cooling started in seconds. The freezer was quietly humming and has been consistent for weeks now.

It was supposed to be shipped by Amazon. Amazon shipped it USPS and I never received it. Have been told not to ship USPS. I had it returned. I did get a refund. Thanks you for the refund.

Have a very old fridge and the compressor was not starting. This product made my compressor start again. very happy. It runs now for over 4 months and continues. Very very easy to install. it's surprising how easy it is
