At the current price, these vents are reasonably priced. I got these vent to relieve the heat in a bench storage box I have next to the service door to my garage. Occasionally this box is used for a bench, but its primary function is to store various things for the yard as well as a drop box for any deliveries. This box sits on the west side of the garage and anything inside during the afternoon gets baked. The idea was to cut two vents high and two vents low to help lower the inside temperature of the box. The vents themselves are made of stainless, and based on a magnet test, appear to confirm they are 304. Slight stick but nothing close to that of traditional carbon steel, so hopefully they will endure the elements. They were advertised as being 4" and using a 4" holesaw run backward through the plastic of the bench work out well for fit to the vent. The vents seem very well made and the materials used for their construction appears to be very good quality. The vents fit, finish, consistancy also seems to be very well done. The vents did not include any mounting hardware, but I used (2) ¾" 304 self drilling sheet metal screws to mount each of the 4 vents. From what I can tell so far, the vents are doing their job, you can feel the heat flowing.from the top vents when the box is in full sun. I did mount the vents on the back of the box, the side facing the house to minimize any rain issues, so I can't attest to their durability to prevent rain intrusion if they were mounted on a vertical surface. However if they are mounted in a soffit as intended, there wouldn't be any issues. And they are lined with screen to prevent insect intrusion. So why the 4 stars instead of five? The inside edge of the stainless vent is razor sharp. I was just handling them, removing the plastic off each of the 4 vents, and I didn't realize I had been cut until after it happened, (some red stuff getting all over everything), an indication of how very sharp they actually are. So I strongly recommend to for you to use gloves when handling them. And of course after being cut after the first time, which was a pretty long and somewhat deep cut, to finish the install I was going to be more careful with my bare hands so it didn't happen again. NOT! I cut another finger a second time, but it was much less severe. Lesson learned twice! (Yeah I know, maybe thick headed?) Anyway, the star reduction of the review is for leaving this edge almost surgically sharp, a real hazard to any installer even with gloves. Also, seems like a basic 304 stainless 1" screws, maybe with some plastic expanding anchors, should have been included with the vents. So beyond these two issues, so far the vents seem great!

Fantastic quality. Heavy duty steel! Extremely sharp edges .will slice ur finger right open. Wear gloves. Had to add extra finer screen in each because screen is big enough for smaller bugs/mosquitos to get through.

Product is of great quality, however I made an error and orderrd something to large for what I needed.

Works great for my soffits.

Stylish soffit vents and they were easy to install and look like high quality.

I had to add more rivet hole to secure, but if you have the tools, it's easy to install. I installed on a metal shed with thin metal.
