For me, this is best offering I've found among these type of products.
I thought I had reviewed this before. I think this is the fifth Peetpen L45 I've bought. I love them. Inexpensive, uncomplicated, but with the truly essential features of low and high brightness and focus from a wide spread to a sharp beam by turning the head. And the control is a single button located right where my thumb rests when I hold it...not an awkward recessed button on the back end like many others. The length and diameter of the instrument make it pleasant to hold. You press the button completely for on and off, and partially to switch between high and low brightness. And yes, if you insist, haha, two partial presses will even make it pulse with high intensity to distract and confuse that attacker in the dark.I grew up liking flashlights. The invention and perfection of bright energy-efficient LEDs is a dream come true. I've tried a lot of different ones. Many of them try to find their niche in the market by sporting many features. That's fine for some people. And yeah, they do catch my gadget-loving eye. I have some of those sitting in drawers around my house. But the exquisite design-the feel and function of this one make it the one I actually use. And at this price, I have one in my bedroom nightstand, one my garage, one in a drawer in my man-cave entertainment center, one in the kitchen, and one in my car.

Exactly fills the very specific purpose I purchased it for. Recommended.
I have many 18650 tactical lights with a wide variety of features. I purchased this one for a very specific reason. I didn't want a lot of modes to have to cycle through with one button.. Bright and low was it. This one cycles between high and low with single clicks. It has strobe and S-O-S but they require double clicks. There is a memory so it returns to the mode last used (high or low.). I wanted it to use 18650 batteries without a 3 AAA adapter option. I wanted it to be USB rechargeable (USB-C would have been nice.) I wanted a large lens end and a handle slightly larger than the 18650 battery. I recently purchased a SOG multitool. The case it came with had a large sleeve on one side. I tried my tac lights that could use the 3 triple A adapter and they were too large for the sleeve. The handle on this one fits nicely its long enough it won't easily slip out and the bell shaped end stops it from falling through. The charging port is easily accessible. There is a light that shows when it's charging and when charging is complete. The housing is aluminum. Durable but not a bank vault. There is a small area of anemic knurling on the handle and two more very narrow ones at the button and rear that are effective. There is no glass breaking feature. The light is long and light weight. It fits my big hand nicely despite being narrow. The high beam is very bright and has a good range. The low beam is adequate for most uses and extends battery life. Both beams are much wider than average tac lights due to the bell shaped lens housing. The strobe and S-O-S work as expected. The compass would be a nice feature. This one is not florescent so would have little usefulness at night. It is not liquid damped. It easily sticks and does not reliably point north. It comes with two spare "O" rings. There are no other accessories. Even without my specific use for this light I recommend it and would buy it again.

Great for work, walking the dog, or as a handy rechargeable flashlight around the house.
Great rechargeable flashlight. Best think about these flashlights is that that just turn on and off. When you turn back on, it goes right back to your setting. That means if you have it set to be the brightest and shut if off, when you turn it back on, it is still in the bright mode. Unlike so many other useless flashlights that you have to toggle the on off switch a number of times to get back where it was set. A real timesaver when you use these for work applications. Afterall, how many times or you stuck in the middle of a body of water and have to use the S.O.S. mode?

these are awesome little lights.
I keep these in several places around the house. they last plenty long, I only recharge about every 2 months, and never have an issue. They aren't extremely bright, but bright enough to cover my 1 acre back yard.

Good light but....
Ok bad 1st: It is advertised as a 18650 battery...it is not. The battery in these seem to be custom for the flashlight itself and are much larger than the "typical" 18650 batteries most people are familiar with in the vaping world. I personally cannot find the specific size or a replacement for the battery so when the cell finally gives out I guess they will end up in a trash can.Ok the good: The flashlight is very light, it has 2 modes which in the bright mode supplies more than enough light to see quite far. I like the fact that they are rechargeable...but...I have not had enough time to determine the battery life in the real world but used in a normal capacity they seem to do well.Advice to the manufacturer...start selling the replacement batteries or convert these to actual 18650 batteries which are available all over the place. I get that you are in the business of making money but being "proprietary" on a flashlight battery means you intend on continuing to make money without giving the public other options. The LED module in these will last for years, but the battery will not. Seems like a waste of a nice flashlight if you have to toss it in the garbage once the battery cell gives out. And...it will
