Pomelo's Opposites (Pomelo the Garden Elephant)

I thought this was such a sweet and fun book about opposites for kids. Much longer than most concept books int his category but still fun and approachable for young kids. It is NOT a board book though so could be ripped more easily than many other books in this category!

Although the Pomelo books are a bit lengthy, our little boy (who is now 2 1/2) has always loved them. It says something about the whimsical illustrations and humorous writing that a toddler will sit through a 100 page picture book (I'm ballparking on the page count). Cute, and fun for kids and parents alike. My only complaint about Opposites is that some of the things included aren't really opposites, lol, but that's pretty insignificant. Great book!

I got this for my one year old after seeing it (and Pomelo's Colors) at our local library. All of the Pomelo books are amazing and I really wish they'd translate more of them into English. Great books for parents who are looking for something a little bit more complicated and whimsical for their kids.

In my opinion this is NOT a kids book, some of the opposites are not appropriate (or the illustration they chose isnt) at least not for young kids. Also most of them make no sense and arent even opposites!!

My granddaughter and I have enjoyed reading this book as much as the original and Pomelo Explores Color! The lovely and often funny illustrations just add to our enjoyment of the books. It is great how the author introduces some difficult words (for a four-year-old) through cute, silly situations. We both would highly recommend this and any of the other Pomelo books!

I love this book. It is different from the garden variety "opposites" books for kids. It has some abstract examples of opposites that will be harder for little kids to understand but with funny illustrations to help parents explain them. Super delightful!

I love the illustrations and it is the most interesting, adorable opposite book on the market. We have fun drawing Pomelos on our own and coloring them in while talking about relativity and dichotomies. All of the Pomelo books are fabulous, this one is my favorite, then the adventure one, then the color one.
