BedShelfie Bedside Shelf for Dorm Room - Original Black Wood

We tried another bunk bed-brand specific shelf, and it wouldn't fit on the loft we bought for our son. Then we found BedShelfie on Amazon, and even though the color was "black" and the loft is espresso brown, we went for it. The reviews and the fact that it was solid wood swayed us most, but also b/c we could tell that the clamp function would definitely fit on the inch-thick rail. It arrived, and straight out of the box, it was perfect: 1) fully assembled (bonus, after just fully assembling the loft!), 2) it was solid, nicely weighted wood (bamboo), 3) the "black" color looked close to a very dark mahogany/espresso to me, so it matched the loft completely. I think it would still go with a true black bed well enough though. Attached it easily to the loft, appreciated the nice pads that wouldn't scratch the furniture, and could tell it was not going to fall off. I can see the branding on it would have bugged me a bit in the lighter color, but in the dark one, you don't see it at all. My son is thrilled to have the shelf, and we're very happy with it - fully the best one out there, even though you're paying a bit more.

For reasons not worth detailing, I've never had a nightstand, and thus all the stuff I need to access while I'm in bed -- there's a surprising amount of it -- spent years on the floor, necessitating my almost falling out of bed every time I needed an item. Then I saw a super cheap and ugly bedside shelf (NOT the BedShelfie) in a store, decided to do some research, and the rest is history. I have the smaller shelf, and still it holds three phones and an e-reader as well as a pen, notebook, and face cream. There's room for more, but if I stack the shelf too high, I will never have a reason to get out of bed. Because of its convenient height vis a vis my mattress, I'm not constantly knocking stuff off, yet it's easy for me to reach whatever I want. The black shelf looks good, like it was meant to be there. The BedShelfie is a brilliant idea, and I love mine. After a month's use, it still looks pretty sturdy and I hope it lasts forever, but if it doesn't, I'll buy another without hesitation.

I ordered this BedShelfie for my son for his college dorm room. The shelfie was easy to assemble and it’s very sturdy. He’s able to sit his drinks, remotes, cell phone, etc on it. He’s been using it now for a few months and has never had any problems with it. Beware of cheap knockoffs! I heard they can be disasters! Some just slip under the mattress, and as soon as you put something on the shelf, it’ll just collapse. Some just pops down on the edge of the rail of the bed, and doesn’t offer enough strength to put anything down on. This one you easily screw on, and it holds extremely well! Great little quality table and perfect for small space where you do not have room for a night stand and do not want to put your phone or glass etc.. om the floor. Only thought is I may cut a small rubber mat to line the inside so that the wood base does not warp from wet drink/ glass. Would purchase again and happy with it!

I'm very happy with this product. It works perfect for my son's bunk bed rail. He can fit his phone, glasses, earbuds, & plenty of room left over. I was slightly apprehensive about the wood construction, but the clamping sections reinforced with a wide,metal L-bracket. The felt lining over the clamping area is nice so that it protects the finish of the bed rail. The cord holder notches work well. It also has a nice smooth finish and looks like it is built to last. Great product.

Love it! I have a small space and having an end table or even a TV tray set up next to my bed felt crowded and I was constantly bumping into it. I wanted something small but sturdy and still strong enough to support my nightly glass of water, book, phone, etc. my husband and I tried to brainstorm a solution but custom building something was cost and time prohibitive. The BedShelfie was the perfect solution! It easily attached to the bed in less than a minute and is large enough to fit what I need, but small enough to fit in my tiny bedroom. Best of all it actually looks nice and if we move to a bigger place I know I can easily remove it without leaving any holes or damage on my bed. Definitely worth the buy!

I installed the BedShelfie a few weeks ago for my 6 year old. He and his brother have a new bunk bed with the one drawback being that the top bunk didn't really have a good place to sit anything. After doing so Amazon research, i deceided to try out the BedShelfie in black. They didnt have anything that matched his bed color but black can blend with most things and I was right. It looks great and fits right in with the furniture. As far as use goes, my son has enjoyed the the shelf since it was installed. He typically keeps a TV remote on it plus a flashlight and a bedside glass of water. The item has held bedtime books before and it didn't budge. It has protections to keep from messing up the wood as you tighten it down. I think this is an excellent product and after a few weeks of use it hasn't shown any signs of trouble. I Highly recommend this item.

Great for small spaces! But also great for the side of any bed!!!!very easy to put on bed.... like soooo easy! The product is very well made and I am in love! It’s a great way to be able to keep your drinks and phone on without cluttering your nightstand as well!!! My daughter likes to snack in our room so we also set her on the floor (she is 2) and use it for her snack so she can still be in the room with us while we watch tv!

Great product! Came super fast, and it fits perfectly in the small space between my bed and my cabinet drawers. It's light weight (lighter than it looks) an the material doesn't look cheap. It's great for small spaces and doesn't interfere with vacuuming. Came exactly as the way it looks in the pictures. It fits just the right amount of stuff that i need, I would say 6 items max. Very innovative product!
