... to give this product a chance but I'm highly disappointed by it
I really wanted to give this product a chance but I'm highly disappointed by it. It doesn't detect changes in posture after a couple of minutes and you are forced to continuously recalibrate it to make it work as advertised. The app itself is glitchy and doesn't detect the device and you are forced to shut off the device and close the app and start over. Maybe in the future I will be able to give this product a try after they fixed the bugs in the app and improve the sensors on the device. Overall, DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT. A cheap alternative to this device is buying kinesiology tape. By simply standing in correct posture, and applying the tape in certain areas on the body, it can serve as a gentle reminder throughout the day to keep your posture corrected. How this works is when a person starts to go out of proper alignment (think of poor posture), there is a very gentle pull on the skin. This gentle reminder helps to keep a person aware when they out of alignment, and helps that person to strengthen their postural muscles on their own. SAVE YOURSELF THE $130. Edit: Customer service reached out to me and suggested placing the product on ur upper back instead of lower. It was too late for me as I returned the product. Maybe one of you can try and see how it works out.

It works bad and seems like undone
The product works bad. I bought it 1 months ago and when it arrived to me (to the shiny country Uzbekistan), I've found that the program for this device can work only with few smartphones and tablets. I couldnt install it to the Samsung Note, to the Huawei P8 and it always stops working at my Samsung Tablet (I even couldnt generate my training program or calibrate the device). Maybe it depends on the android version, but in all devices I have different android versions (4.2, 4.4 and 5.0). But I dont know about IPhones. The second problem - the sticking-plasters. After 30 minutes - 1 hour they become unusable, also it's impossible to use them more than once, but there are only 60 of such plasters in the box. So, I use 3-4 per day and after 2 weeks I will have nothing. The third problem - bad work of the device at all - I cannnot calibrate it right, it just everytime often vibrates when Im upright and silent when not. Also it's very hard to use it when u walk, it vibrates everytime, even when u stay upright!) When u r driving a car - u should switch it off and remove from your back because of bad plasters it will fall down at the same. Generally, it seems like unfinished or undone. So, I'm not recommend to buy it. Regards, miss Ramilya S Klimova.

Upright and Lumo Lift
I recently had back surgery and my recovery has been pretty slow. I had gotten used to slouching for so long and with the recovery, I wanted something to help keep me in check. I read the reviews for both the Upright and the Lumo lift. I am currently using both together and I think they are both wonderful in their own ways. Here is some info about each: Upright: I like how accurate and responsive this sensor is. The app is great and you can adjust the sensors sensitivity levels. I have found it incredibly helpful. It is slightly annoying to have to stick the velcro on your back and have the sensor hang off it. It's really great for sitting but not as useful for standing. Also, it's a really nice looking device. Lumo Lift: this sensor is really small and straight forward. Unlike the Upright, you don't need to interact with the app to use it. Just put it under your collarbone under your shirt, get into a good posture, press the button to calibrate and your great. Any slouching makes it buzz. It's great for walking and for sitting. Both sensors are very useful and my physical therapist is very interested in them for future patients. The Upright takes care of lower back slouch while the Lumo takes care of upper body slouch.

IT WORKS!!
Let me say the GOOD stuff first. IT WORKS! I had some issues getting it going, but now that I'm through a couple of issues, it works VERY well. Issues: It arrived without the little black Velcro strip, so there was no way to attach it to the adhesive strips. I have to say that Customer Support was VERY responsive and they sent me a couple of the black Velcro hook strips and for my troubles an additional 21 adhesive pads. Next, it seemed to disconnect from my iPhone frequently. Again, Customer Service gave me instructions on updating the firmware. Now it works great. I have to recalibrate it every once in a while, but that takes about 12 seconds. In the meantime, when I use it, it forces me to set up straight, tones my core muscles and I like it. I am recovering from an 8 vertebrae back fusion and this is just the thing to help me rebuild those muscles I could not use for a long time.

Not what I expected but it seems to do the trick
Overall it is an interesting product with some good future potential. However, it was not what i expected it to be. The device is described as something you can wear- it is not case. Well at least, it is not fully accurate. This device can be 'glued' with a medical grade adhesive to the lower back and used to train you muscle memory to sit upright (the other side of the adhesive strip has Velcro to attach the device to it). The application generates a training program (see the picture) for 21 days with a gradual time increase. You need to calibrate the device each time you attach it to your back. Once calibrated if you deviate from the "upright" position the device starts vibrating and reminds you to straighten your back. You cannot really wear it for an entire day as: 1. you would need to pause it every time you change your position, as it will vibrate. 2. The adhesive strip will not hold on the body for that long due to the various factors as body perspiration and etc. Here are the pros and cons of this device: PROS: 1. It is very sensitive and seems to do the trick, showing you when you start 'curving' you spine 2. I am 16 days in and I have a good understanding when I start slouching now. There might even be a slight improvement. 3. The idea is very original and I believe it is better to teach you muscles vs. wearing some support belt that will only do the trick while you are wearing it. CONS: 1. I would like to be able to put this thing on at the morning and wear it an entire day. If you follow the 'western' business dress code, putting it on during a day is a bit of a pain. (if you get to wear T-shirts, it is not an issue). Currently I wear it while I watch the TV after work. Most of my back problems happen at work while in front of the PC. 2. Hopefully one of the next firmware upgrade will enable wearing it while walking instead of just sitting still 3. The app is very basic right now. (see the attachment). The middle of the screen has 3 faces, the happy face is green when you wear it, the middle is yellow, and the unhappy turns red. When it is red, the device vibrates. Sometime it is hard to distinguish the green and yellow as the faces are very small. My suggestion to the UPRIGHT is to remove the Chart to another page and make the faces larger. May be even leave one face on the screen only. 4. I still don't see where I can buy the additional adhesive strips. There were 60 in the box, but I have used 18 already. Also what would be their cost?

Connection issues
I really wanted to like this product. Unfortunately, didn't even get the chance to actually use it due to connection issues. First I needed to upgrade ios to 10.2. I found this out after testing with other iPhones. Then there was an upgrade to the app the following day and it stopped connecting again. I must have spent a total of one hour just trying to make it connect. I gave it 2 stars because customer service was responsive.

device didn't work out of the box
I tried contacting the seller with no response. This product would not work at all out of the box. The item would not sync to the phone, nor could I even identify that there was a bluetooth link to even be able to link to. I tried all the recommendations of turning on/off the device, my bluetooth, and the app. As well as trying to link to another phone. None of these options worked. I called Amazon and will be returning this product.

Good Training Device
So to give a little backstory, I am a new dentist, and if there’s anything you need to know about dentistry, is that musculoskeletal problems are the number one disability claims. The job just wrecks your body, there is no easy way to fix someone’s mouth while sitting straight. After working 6 days a week for about 18 months out of school I was already coming home with muscle spasms and back and shoulder pain. If I didn’t learn how to sit properly I wasn’t going to last long. Overall i’m pretty happy with the device once I actually learned where to put it (trial and error) though dentistry is not a static job, we twist and turn and do all sorts of crazy things to be able to see where we need to, and of course the Upright will buzz and buzz and buzz even though right now I just cannot sit up. That’s not much of a problem. It’s still fantastic when i do cleanings, exams, write my charts up, things like that. The one issue I’ve had is that it will disconnect SEVERAL times a day. And I don’t realize that it's not working until I’ve been slouching for a while instead of it reminding me instantly. Other than that it’s great. I wear it out, basically anywhere I think it will be helpful. It’s a little temperamental when I’m doing a lot of walking, but other than that I don’t regret the purchase at all! Wish I would have had it sooner!

Echt mies...

Pretty useless
I couldn’t feel it vibrate on my back, I followed the instructions meticulously and recalibrated it each time as requested, the first use seemed to go ok, following one was pointless I could bend, slouch and twist without it detecting a thing. It’s a great idea but essentially it doesn’t work, and I feel a bit prayed upon for wanting to alleviate pain with better posture.

Disastro

aunque también he probado la versión UPRIGHT GO Y VA MEJOR... ALGO QUE TODOS LOS QUE TENEMOS LA ESPALDA UN POCO 'VENCIDA' DEBERÍAMOS TENER.
