It is beautiful, heavy and expensive, but an amazing piece of cookware. Take things slowly, never blast the heat. This has encouraged me in making things I had been struggled with before. Yes, a pan can make a difference.

This saucier is great for Indian cooking because Indian cooking needs sliding sides. I like the part that this has thick copper layer.

I use this high falutin' pot to cook stone ground grits. According to the vendors, their extremely special grits have to cook about 50 minutes at a low temp, and they recommend this type of cookware. Pros: The pot has a heavy bottom (what not to like about that) and it heats very evenly. This is what one expects from copper. Cons: The lid's fit can only be described as "indifferent". It does not fit as tightly as I would expect from a fancy schmancy item at this price point. Further, the lid handle is not thick and robust. My hands are a bit larger than average, and I cannot only fit my index and second finger under the skimpy lid handle. This is particularly annoying because the lid handle gets hot as fish grease, and I can't easily use it a towel to get a secure grip. In sum, I expected better design and execution. My next purchase will be at a brick and mortar where I can examine the item. Then, this one will go on Craigslist.

Very good product, came in an excellent packaging and on time. It was for my wife and she like to cook with them, and me too. This piece was to complete a set we have at home.
