It’s got consistent color and dries instantly so no smearing. It is thicker than most ball points so it’s easier to write with without straining. Keep in mind if you pause a lot between writing (30 seconds or more), put the cap back on. It’s liquid ink, not goo like a ballpoint, so it can easily dry and make it hesitate to write again.
