Intriguing VR Concept Exceeds Expectations!!
I read about the new Meta Quest support for the Real Racer product and being a VR enthusiast, wanted to give it a try. The premise is really interesting - basically you have this little remote control car that you can drive around your home in the physical world, but you do this from within a virtual cockpit seen from the Meta Quest VR headset. It’s the only product I’m aware of that combines the physical and virtual worlds in such an interesting way. When you put on the Quest headset and fire up the Real Racer XR app, you’re transported into the race car cockpit. The detailing is really impressive, and there are various controls on the virtual dashboard that respond to actual real world driving conditions (tachometer, G-force gauge etc). The windscreen of the virtual cockpit shows the real-time video feed broadcast from the remote control car, so as you’re driving around you see everything from the perspective of the car. The best part is that you control the actual RC car in the physical world using the virtual steering wheel, which you grasp and rotate using the Quest controllers. It’s incredibly immersive, giving you the feeling that you’re really sitting in the bucket seat of this RC car, racing around your living room. Highly recommended for both kids and adults, especially those with a Meta Quest headset, as that’s how you’ll get the best experience with this product.

Se le salio una rueda.
Después de 2 días de haber llegado y mientras estaba en uso se le salió una rueda delantera, cuando lo revisamos nos dimos cuenta que estaba roto un perno de plástico que es donde entra el tornillo que sostiene la rueda.

Fantastic fun for adults and kids
The car looks great and was really easy and quick to set up. The app gives you step by step instructions and connects to car with ease. The camera is super clear, enabling you to navigate your route with ease. The car has different speed settings which is great to help you get to grips with the controls which I have to say are some of the best I've used in to remote control cars. Overall, a fantastic value for money buy for both me and the kids! Highly recommend!

Good controls but poor range
This VR remote control car comes very professionally packaged, and the build quality feels very good. The car is strong and sturdy, and has survived quite a few impacts! It’s easy to use the controls and the proper steering feels great, and it’s impressive that this little car has things like gyro and suspension However, the main selling point for this car is the VR and camera capability. We found this to be difficult to use as the car doesn’t have 100ft of range, it was only 15ft. We tested it inside and outside just in case the walls were impacting the signal, and we made sure to have nothing on that has the same frequency, yet we just couldn’t get it to go further than 15ft without the car losing signal with the remote This was disappointing, and made the camera a little bit redundant because the car couldn’t go very far away from us. We were hoping to be able to drive it all over the house, go into different rooms, and because of how quickly the signal gets lost we can’t get the car up to its top speed The VR headset is a great idea, but actually made us feel a little bit ill whilst using it. The car has a low ground clearance level and going over the slightest bump feels very jarring on the headset, it was much easier just to watch the camera through the phone The app was easy to download, a little bit fiddly to connect the car each time. It would be good if it auto-connects. The app has lots of features which is great, we did find that changing the filters on the app makes the car lose connection with the remote Overall, because of the main issue with the car losing connectivity with the remote in only 15ft we can’t say it’s good value for money. We really love the concept, but some changes like improving the range, lights on the car, a microphone because the video and livestream recorded is silent would make it match up to the price point

Fresh New Take on RC Racers!!!!!
I recently purchased the Kobotix Real Racer, and it has been a blast to use. Whether using the VR feature or not, the racing experience is fresh and exciting. Being able to sit "inside" your racer through the VR headset offers a new take on RC racing. Since VR isn't recommended for kids 12 or 13 and under, my son only played with it for a short while, which meant I got to enjoy it even more (I mainly bought it for myself anyway!). The Quest addition is a nice feature if you already own a VR headset, but if you don't, no worries— a case that turns your phone into a VR headset is included. I'm not a fan of strapping my cell phone to my face for long periods, so I turn off my cellular data before playing. With short bursts of use, it works out well. The packaging was top-notch, and the racer itself is pretty quick. It doesn't run well on thick carpet, so be aware that you'll need tile or wood for the best play experience. I wish it had a 3D camera setup to establish depth in the VR experience, but hopefully, that's something for a future update. Overall, this was a fun addition to the many toys, racers, and collectibles I already own and enjoy.
