A must if baking sourdough without a dutch oven
Really does hold onto heat and promotes a crisp crust in sourdough loaves. Not ready yet to spring for a dutch oven purchase. Decided to upgrade baking experience with these baking stones since they also can be used for pizza and pies. When ready to bake sourdough, I place the boule onto the preheated stone, and cover with a large steel bowl to trap steam for the first 25 minutes of baking, then remove the bowl, and let the heat on the stone dry out and color the crust. These even fit comfortably inside toaster ovens that are 12" wide inside. I noticed no smells even on the first use. They seem to stain easily, as uncoated stone or brick tiles do, but this is cosmetic and does not affect function.

Perfect for Coleman oven
I got this for my Coleman oven as I was tired of burning the bottoms of everything. This fits perfectly and easily in the oven and really works well to even out the temperature swings in the oven. Now I don't burn my baked goods. We've baked biscuits directly on it and brownies and dump cakes in pans. We also made mini pizzas on it using tortillas and they turned out great. It turns the Coleman oven from a burn unit into a bakery.

Camper oven stone
I purchased to help even heating in my camper oven. Rv dealer told us about doing this to prevent burning food on bottom of pans. The size was a perfect fit.

EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED - WITH A BEAUTIFUL "BONUS" WOODEN BOARD BESIDES. THIS IS A "WOW" PURCHASE!
Well this one was quite a shock! The stone arrived in a box extremely well designed for safe shipment and no damage in transit, but I am also shocked and extremely pleased at the wooden cutting/serving board that came with it. Comparing with other pizza stones of this size led me to choose Waykea - and the others came just as a pizza stone and no wooden board included. This "board" came carefully shrinkwrapped and packaged along side the pizza stone to preserve its beauty and even its beveled edge accommodating getting underneat the pizza to serve it. This purchase has really "wowed" me all the way around, the quality of my primary need the pizza stone, its careful packaging (actually designed to remind you of buying a large pizza - that was cute, and the "extra" wooden serving board. What a deal! I would definitely highly recommend this product and the manufacturer that offers it!

Fits in our small Breville oven
We use a pizza stone in our regular oven and on the grill, and wanted one that would fit in our compact Breville oven, which is about 10x10 inches inside. (This is the one that will toast 4 slices of bread, so it's not big.) We made pizza on it for dinner one night and it worked well. Because we're planning to use it in our camper, we made the pizza with pizza dough and sauce from the grocery store, rather than homemade, just to make sure it all worked and tasted good, and it did. The directions say to wash with water to start. The stone soaked up a shocking amount of water and took days to dry. Pretty sure I wouldn't do that again.

Not what I expected
It’s ok. Thought it would be like my large pampered chef stone but the material is not what I expected. It goes a terrible odor when first using, make sure you can open a window.
